Stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to have lunch. 2 course meal for £11.00 was excellent value for money. We had Tzaziki and taramosalata with warm pitta to start, followed by moussaka and lamb souvlaki with flavourful orzo and salad. House red very good as were the espressos. Service excellent and nice relaxed atmosphere. Would return

Visited here with a group of friends last Friday night. Service was excellent and most of the food was very good. The starts we shared were authentic and delicious and my Kleftiko was all I could have wished for, very tasty. Just one glitch, my wife's liver main course was not the best, she is a lover of Greek food... More

Visited as part of a group of nine celebrating a colleague's retirement. Food was really good - nicely spiced and very tasty. Overall we spent about £35 per head (including drinks & tip) which wasn't bad for three courses in central London. I did feel a bit cramped, and the bench seat agains the the right hand wall (as you... More

I've been a patron for decades eating here with friends and family. The ambiance is excellent as is the food. In all the time I have eaten here I have never left other than delighted. Excellent, friendly service. Can't rate it high enough.

Found this after Jimmys the Greek restaurant on Frith Street closed in 2012! This is way nicer-the portions on the meze were enormous and the staff were lovely. I have been recommending to friends and family

I have been visiting the Konaki for over 20 years whenever I am in London for a few days. Lovely food and very reasonably priced. All of the staff work hard to ensure customers feel looked after but not hurried. Whether visiting at lunchtime or in the evening, you will find plenty of choice in very pleasant surroundings. Close to... More

We visited the Konaki before going to the Cartoon Museum just down the road. We were only there for lunch this time. However, although it's been a few years since my last visit, I'm glad to say that both the welcome and the food was as good as ever. We ate off the lunch special menu and had Moussaka, with... More

Small, narrow space. Good prix fixe dinner and lunch options. Had lentil soup (soup of the day), lamb souvlaki and some kind of custard/phyllo dessert. Attentive servers.

Located right in the centre within walking distance from the British Museum, Konaki restaurant has been open for around 35 years. It is a basic Greek restaurant serving large portions of most well know Greek dishes. The staff are very helpful and their prices are reasonable. I think the restaurant would benefit from a face lift but this is for... More

Been here a few times with a friend of mine who lives near by...this place was refurbished about a year ago. Was an Italian restaurant before. This place has the same owners of the Kebab shop at the other end of the high street. If your in a rush or need some where on a late minute booking, then this... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
