Visiting London for two days and a friend said his fav Indian restaurant was this one ... served by Janis (Greek version of john ??) - food really tasty and we left some so portions fair. Three main courses and three drinks slightly more than I'd normally pay but it was really tasty ...

Zayna was recommended to us, and we're glad we followed up on that. The food is superb. Beautifully seasoned - not with spicy heat, but with spice and flavor. More fiery spice is optional. Three of us tried a lamb, a chicken, and a veg (eggplant/aubergine) dish, and nan bread. I recommend making a reservation as seating is limited.

The food was good and unique! Service was also good, decent place for clean and tasty Indian food, bit pricy

This hotel is located off Oxford Street (in New Qubec street - walk able distance) and which becomes a boon to the shopaholics. The hotel is very tastefully designed to cater to all audiences and also for the people who would like to mix the meal with some drinks. The owner of this restaurant is very passionate about the food... More

If I'm honest I think the atmosphere could be warmer and friendlier in this place (downstairs at least), but you can't knock the food they serve. It's the most money I've ever paid for a curry - £16 for a main dish! - but it is admittedly excellent quality. I'd go as far as to say better food than Dishoom,... More

Went for an evening meal whilst staying in the area and thoroughly enjoyed our food & drinks. Portions were a good size, well cooked and presented and very authentic. It is a little pricey but the quality was worth it. We sat in the downstairs area where you can see the kitchen in action..... a little quiet and there is... More

One of the best North Indian / Pakistani restaurants in London. The only downside is that at at least £15 for a simple curry it is very expensive. Nevertheless the food, served in a casual setting, is fantastic. The menu is full of highlights such as spicy lamb curry. You will be best served though by asking one of the... More

Our first time at Zayna; very well taken care of by competent staff who were more than happy to give clear recommendations among all the great dishes. Additional personal touch when Zayna's owner comes out and thanks us for the visit and spends his busy time talking to us. Looking forward to the next visit!

Close to Marble Arch this small restaurant serves up real authentic North Indian cuisine. On two floors, ground & basement. From the basement you can observe the kitchen / chefs preparing the food through a glass wall. The cooking was excellent, some of the best in London, and the table service could not be faulted. Not cheap but good value.... More

I was travelling with work and decided to eat here with my colleagues. It was busy and they promised to ring us when a table was ready, which they duly did. The menu had a good selection, but it is fairly expensive. However the food was excellent and the drinks fairly reasonably priced, I would happily eat here again

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
