Went for a business lunch and I absolutely loved the place. Nice decoration and atmosphere, very good service, the noise level was perfecto to lead a conversation, a good variety of food on the menue, and the food fresh and tasty ... I had the beetroot carpaccio and the lemon sole, very nice, my colleagues had bangers and mash which... More

Lovely dining experience in an elegant, private dining space. The service was very good, our hostess was very attentive and the food was delicious. We were able to take advantage of the 50% off for 2 course deal which almost made up for the fact that I had to pay 'cakeage' for purchasing a cake for my friends birthday. Saying... More

Enjoyed an excellent lunch here. Good atmosphere and excellent food. Ideal for business discussion over a meal with plenty of space and attentive service.

We went here after reading the good reviews and have to say were slightly disappointed. The place is lovely and done out really nicely. Good selection of food on the menu all of which was really tasty. However, the service was somewhat lacking. We had to ask for almost everything, from bread to water and were given a glass rather... I went to Harry's bar for lunch with clients. It really was excellent. The food was on time and we were so well looked after. Given the location and the quality of food it was not expensive. I would thoroughly recommend.

Two of us went to Harry's Bar and enjoyed excellent food, wine and service. The place was busy but this did not impact on the service. My main course of salmon is with a Parmesan crust was delicious. No dessert as we were too full up but the coffee was nice.

A simple staircase easily overlooked descends into a Tardis of a basement. Full of books and crannies it has real character. A great selection of wines and excellent services. The hours will whisk by in this cocoon from London's hustle and bustle.

I was here as a guest for lunch. This basement restaurant is really well appointed but unfortunately the food does not match this. Maybe I chose very badly but my main course was almost inedible. Staff, service and wine all fine.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
