At last, a sunny day! A friendly welcome, despite no reservation and a very busy lunch service. Delicious lunch of Mediterranean tart, chef's bouillabaisse and bream. Thankyou.

You’re so welcome Anne, glad you enjoyed sitting in the courtyard and the great weather! Hope to see you again soon.
We were in the City of London and it was time for lunch and we saw a signpost off Cannon Street which mentioned this and a pub. We were unimpressed by the pub menu but we had eaten at Harry's Bar in Marylebone about a...year ago and liked it. We just had one course -one of us had cottage pie which came with what looked like fresh peas and the other had duck leg with an extra side order of green beans. The duck was in a ginger sauce and was tasty as was the cottage pie . We thought of having a dessert but they were slightly unusual combinations eg apple crumble with almonds and we were planning to have tea and cake later on. The food was filling so a dessert would have been an extra indulgence. The waitresses were very nice so I would recommend this place.More
We were looking for somewhere to have lunch in the city and saw a sign off Cannon Street mentioning Harry's Bar, a pub and another restaurant in a side street. We liked the look of the menu. We had eaten more than year ago at...their restaurant in James Street Staff were friendly , the food was good and we did not have to wait long for our duck and cottage pie, which came with what looked like fresh not frozen peas. . Both were very tasty and good value. The only minus point is that to use the loo you have to go down one flight of steps and up another and then down and up again.More
Hello there, thank you for leaving your review and so pleased you enjoyed your meal at Harry’s Bar and Dining Room. All points noted however would just mention we are an independent restaurant and bar and not affiliated with the restaurant in James Street or...More
Food and wine very good indeed. Service was ok this time but not worth 12.5% of the bill I’m afraid. I made a comment in a previous review that a cover charge was not appropriate in this day and age for a few pieces of...bread that weren’t requested! Although ‘my comments were noted’ not only have they not removed this charge but they’ve doubled it to £2 per head + 12.5% service charge!! Not sure if I want to return sadly.More
Hi David, good to hear that you enjoyed the food and wine, however, just to confirm the cover charge is still £1.00 per head and has not been doubled. This is a charge for artisan bread, butter, oil/balsamic and laundered linen napkins and is only...More
My first visit to Harry’s Bar and certainly not my last! A very cosy basement restaurant. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the City of London, as was the wine. Our server, Adrianne, (hope I’ve spelt her name correctly) was very friendly and...efficient and is a credit to the restaurant. I have docked one star only because I feel that a Cover Charge of £1 per person for bread is unnecessary especially as you only get two small pieces per person! Otherwise an excellent lunch in a very friendly and pleasant restaurant.More
Thank you David, always a pleasure to hear someone’s enjoyment of our restaurant and bar and your comments have been noted. Adriana will be especially thrilled and we’ll be sure to let her know! Debra
I had a vey lunch with business partners. The dishes are simple but very delicious and service was also very attended. Highly recommended and will definitely come back over my next trip to London.
Thank you so much for your comments and we look forward to seeing you again when in London.
I have dined a number of times at Harry’s. Yesterday I hosted a Christmas lunch for 14 people. Everything was wonderful: the food, the helpful, attentive staff, the ambience. All the guests had a great time and remarked on the excellence of the food -...especially when the restaurant was packed with Christmas diners. Particular plaudits to the excellent front-of-house, Nikki, and our excellent waitress.More
What a wonderful review, thank you so much for taking the time to leave it and we will be sure to let the team know. With our best wishes for Christmas and the New Year!
Good food in a nice old school environment. Docked a star because it took a very long time for any drinks to come but once things got going was good. Seemed to be very popular with large groupsMore
Hi, am so sorry if your drinks took a little while to arrive, that can certainly be very annoying! Sometimes we can have an ultra busy time where it may take a little longer than usual but glad to know you enjoyed your experience overall....More
Apologies if I have spelt your name incorrectly Raquel. Huge applause to you mostly but also to your colleagues Had the most enjoyable afternoon today with some friends for my birthday celebrations. Great ambience. Wonderful food. Great wine. Had a fab time. Thank you all.More

It’s a while since I last ate at Harry’s Bar. I think it’s got even better! Huge portions of delicious, comfort food. A great, reasonably-priced wine list. Excellent, attentive and very friendly staff. What is not to love?
Thank you so much, we love it too! Always great to hear such positive feedback and look forward to seeing you again.
Oh so good to be back to this wonderful venue where the food and service is 5 star. In particular, the sea bass fillet was sublime along with the Belgium truffle desert.
Ah thank you so much, it is good to be back isn’t it?! So glad you enjoy visiting Harry’s Bar and appreciate our wonderful team and fresh home cooked food. Look forward to seeing you again. Debra
I visited Harry's for the first time yesterday to have lunch with a business associate. From the second I walked through the door, I was made to feel welcome. Food and drinks where great and would highly recommend a visit if you are in and...around the City of London. Thanks for a great afternoon.More
Thank you so much for your wonderful review Derek and so pleased to hear you had a great afternoon - your positive comments will be well received by our lovely team of staff. Hope to see you again when next in the City for another...More
We spent a lovely evening at Harry's and its great atmosphere and enjoyed the best service from Alex! He was personal and just amazing. Keep going like this<3
The dining room is in the basement – not sure if I noticed disabled access?? Menus were a little tatty – I hate this. Food was better tasting than it looked, which is strange, but there you have it. Nothing ground breaking, very traditional dishes,...but well cooked and perfectly seasoned. The service was polite, fuss free and snappy. It’s certainly not a big occasion place for me, but I’d happily eat a lunch here or dinner again. They do offer good deals in the week, which would definitely take me back.More
Thank you for your review, always appreciated. This restaurant has been insitu for 40 years and unfortunately with the age of the building we are unable to provide disabled facilities, however our restaurant in Ironmonger Lane, a few minutes away has full disabled access. Am...More
Very difficult to fault this wonderful restaurant and bar. The Lemon sole was perfect and the Italian Montalcino red was extremely good. As always, the service was very friendly and efficient.
That is inspiring to hear and thank you so much for leaving your review, all the team will be delighted to receive your comments. Best wishes Debra
