This was my first brush with Ethiopian cuisine and I really enjoyed it! The restaurant itself isn't super appealing, it's just a few tables on a tiled floor and some gaudy decorations on the walls and windows. Definitely not pretty or cozy. The staff was very friendly but unfortunately our server spoke incredibly quietly, so we had trouble understanding her... More

Came here for our office Christmas meal rather than trying to find a pub or restaurant that didn't over-priced set menus and limited options! Had no trouble booking a table, waitress on arrival was friendly and knowledgeable about the food, and the restaurant itself was quite clean and tidy. Ladies loo was a bit small, but not so tiny that... More

I was in the neighborhood walking to my airbnb, cold and hungry, and spotted this restaurant. So glad I did! This is a clean and unpretentious place - nice and hospitable. The host easily agreed to make my dinner takeaway. It was well wrapped and absolutely delicious. Not having eaten Ethiopian befire, I cannot comment on authenticity, but it was... More

Firstly I will make it clear that I have no idea what authentic Ethiopian food is. So I cannot comment on how authentic this place is. Wine list was OK but none of it was available. But they did have Hardy's wine. I kid you not. Hardy's? Really? In a restaurant? The first round of really delicious lager was cold.... More

After a trek back from the races in deepest Sussex a friend suggested this place as he rated it very highly. The food is great, quite spicey and service is first rate.In addition it won,t break the bank.We started off with 2 pints of beer while we looked at the menu.Startes were 2 lamb sambusas, a bit like a samosa but nicer... A friend of mine who has lived in Ethiopia for long periods took me to this restaurant, assuring me that their food is the real one. Although I tried Ethiopian food before in Barcelona, flavors here were quite different, stronger, powerful and of course delicious! Amazing experience, I'll come back for sure.

I enjoyed the food and especially the subtle spicing of the food. The 'hot' option is relatively mild compared to say Caribbean or Indian cuisine, but leaves a very nice taste in the palate. Good Ethiopian beer - recommended. Portion of meat - in my case Chicken - a little small, one leg only for the Wot chicken. The ambience... More

We were four and although the place was almost empty,we decided to give it a try hoping for an authentic experience. It was one of them. The food was lovely and the lady who served us was very helpful. The only con was the wine,no choice and the house wine was average. Overall it was a good experience and we enjoy... More
