The starters were nice, the mains all looked the same - even the waiter had to take them away to decide which was which. A little more spicy turned the dish into vindaloo hot. Very expensive given the size of the portions

I booked a table for 16 people through their website. The booking (and deposit) was taken through design my night (at this point I should have know there was going to be a problem). Turns out (completely not clear on booking) large parties have to...pick from a set menu, I understand this, but it should be clear up front. Over email I tried to ask for the a la carte menu, but that was no option for us. When we arrived, we were shown to a table that was designed for 12, as it happened 2 of my party had dropped out, so now we were sitting 14 people on a table of 12 (uncomfortable, one person had to sit and eat on a corner). Let’s be clear the food was okay, not what is displayed on their website (this could be because we ordered from a party menu as opposed from the a la carte, but that wasn’t our choice). Then when the bill came, I was still charged a cancellation fee for the 2 people who didn’t turn up on our crowded table, and I complained about the overcrowding when we arrived. This makes me understand they do not care about the customer, let them know they are doing a bad job, they don’t care. On a plus side, I refused to pay the service charge, which they took off with no complain.More
If you are looking for a place to enjoy some delicious Indian cuisine with a modern twist, look no further than Mint Leaf in London. This restaurant offers a variety of dishes that are sure to please your taste buds and satisfy your cravings. I...visited Mint Leaf with my wife last week and we had a wonderful experience. Here are some of the highlights of our meal: We started with some refreshing mocktails: Peach Passion and Illusion. The Peach Passion was a fruity blend of peach and passion fruit puree, fresh lemon juice, apple juice and pineapple juice. It was sweet, tangy and refreshing. The Illusion was a light and fizzy drink made with lychee puree, fresh lemon juice and soda water. It was a perfect palate cleanser. The drinks were served in some funky glasses. For starters, we ordered Bhel Puri Chat, Lamb Seekh Kebab, Charcoal Lamb Chops and Crispy Kekada. The Bhel Puri Chat was a crunchy and tangy snack made with puffed rice, wheat crisp and spiced chickpea tossed with onion and tamarind. It was a bit too dry for our liking and could have used more tamarind and yoghurt. The Lamb Seekh Kebab was a succulent and spicy dish made with lamb leg spiced with ginger, chilli and mint sauce. It was tender, juicy and flavourful. The Charcoal Lamb Chops were simply divine. They were cooked to perfection on a charcoal grill and packed with flavour. They were smoky, spicy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The Crispy Kekada was a crispy soft-shell crab dish that my wife loved. It was crunchy, juicy and seasoned well. For mains, we had Lamb Rogan Josh, Malabar Prawn, Lamb Biryani, Dal Tarka and Naan. The Lamb Rogan Josh was a rich and hearty dish made with braised leg of lamb with brown onion, tomato and Kashmiri chilli. It had a deep red colour and a complex flavour. It was spicy, savoury and satisfying. The Malabar Prawn was a terrific dish made with tiger prawns cooked in curry leaf, ginger, mustard and coconut sauce. It had a creamy texture and a fragrant aroma. It was sweet, sour and spicy. The Lamb Biryani was a blend of aromatic basmati rice, kewara water, saffron and mint. It was fluffy, fragrant and filling. The Dal Tarka was a simple but tasty dish made with cumin garlic tempered mix yellow lentils. It was smooth, buttery and comforting. The Naan breads were fresh and tasty. We had butter naan and garlic naan that went well with the curries. For desserts, we had Mango Mousse and Basundi. The Mango Mousse was a sweet, creamy and tangy dessert that captured the essence of mango in every spoonful. It was light, airy and refreshing. The Basundi was a rich, creamy Indian sweet or dessert that’s made with whole milk and flavoured with fragrant spices such as cardamom, saffron and pistachio. It was thick, smooth and indulgent. The food at Mint Leaf is Halal so you can enjoy it without any worries. The service was excellent especially Julius who explained each dish and shared his recommendations. He was friendly, attentive and professional. The venue is vibrant and elegant just like its food. It has a stylish decor with dark wood furniture, dim lighting and colourful accents. It also has a bar area where you can enjoy some cocktails or mocktails. Parking: For parking in the evening, Julius recommended parking on Coleman Street or Gresham Street which are both a 5-minute walk from the restaurant. Mint Leaf is a great place to enjoy some authentic Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist. It offers a variety of dishes that cater to different preferences and palates. It is also suitable for different occasions such as romantic dates, family dinners or business meetings. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Indian food or wants to try something new.More

This place is not for me given the amount of other vegetarian Indian restos I have tried. If I could would probably rate as 2.5 . We spent 50 each for starter, main and 1 drink. Like most Indian food in the city its over...priced for my tastes given the quality and price in zones 4 onwards. The menu has 3 veg starters, 2 veg mains and 5 veg sides. The starters were OK. Nothing stand out. Bhel puri was good but I think it's hard to get wrong. I found the aloo tikki quite dry. It tasted like a ragda petit without the chickpea base. I wished it had the chickpea. I really liked both mains. The kofta was really good. It's on the sweet side so be warned if you don't like sweet mains. The paneer was good and reminded me of a chilli paneer starter. Tried the dal makhni which I liked but not as good as Dishoom. We also had the chocolate dessert. It came with vanilla ice cream. I did not like it. It was quite bitter which was not an issue. The problem for me was the texture. It was not smooth on the palate. It felt like there was too much gelatine (which made me realise I forgot to check if it was vegetarian!). It was one of the worst chocolate desserts I have had. My advice is to avoid the chocolate dessert. I am sure the traditional Indian desserts are fine.More

Caught in the rain I sheltered in their rather grand porch. Reading the menu we decided on the spur of the moment to go in for a late lunch. What a stroke of luck! Courteous and friendly service and delicious, very high quality, food. City...prices but well worth every penny. I shall be adding this lovely restaurant to my list for sure.More

First impressions were good with good entrance and big venue. Quite empty on a Saturday night but still had groups bunched together. Food was average. Prices were high. Management were penny pinching and very grumpy. Toilets were disgusting and in a state of disrepair.
Nice cobra and very nice Indian food. Good flavours and not too spicy. Really nice dark dal. Very polite and helpful service.
Me and wife’s one year wedding anniversary came up and we thought, what better way to have a little celebration than to have it at Mint Leaf, one year after hosting our wedding reception party here! One year later and all the staff remembered us...well! Upon entry, the hostess was waiting for us and greeted us with a huge smile! The bartender made us feel so special as we sat for a drink (or two!), he made drinks to my specification, they were outstanding, let alone the presentation of the drinks! It was memorable!!! The waiter came over and we had a nice chat with him and he remembered that he served us on our party a year ago and we were having fun catching up with him! We then went to our dining table, it was decorated beautifully with rose petals, it made us feel special on a special occasion! The food was superb! We ordered a lot and had to take some of it home, but the food was just so lovely! The service was quick, prompt and very friendly! There was no rush at all, it was all perfect! As we were on our starters, the bartender and staff came over to us, knowing today was our special occasion, with two special cocktails - the love note! It was two drinks specially crafted and presented to us on a bird cage, with a love connotation behind it, with love notes inside a sealed envelope, it truly made us feel special and marked a wonderful evening! We are so much, so we decided to skip desert, however, upon getting up, the staff ushered us back to our table - with one last surprise! A beautifully decorated plate, reading Happy Wedding anniversary and some sweet treats on it too! Despite being on our 6th drink of the evening - we didn’t waste a drop of any drink - and drank them down! We also had to make some room for this lovely desert - which we finished too! Upon exit, the staff were very chatty and we decided, every year, we should mark our anniversary at this very special and memorable place for us! Thank you to the entire Mint Leaf Lounge team - bartender, hostess and waiters, and not to forget Vikas, who had organised all of this on our behalf - he made this magical evening happen! Thank you all and if we don’t see you soon, we shall certainly be back for our 2year celebration! Thank you!More
Very very very poor service. Understaffed ! Drinks and food took ages to be served…shambles ! Service charge added to the bill, however, I disagreed with this and asked to have it removed. Will never ever go back to this restaurant.
Have used , enjoyed and supported this place a lot over the last couple of years in what has been a difficult time for hospitality, including booking a large private event. We like it here. Huge disappointment today however when charged £16:31 for two pints...of draught Cobra. The prices aren’t displayed at the bar, and included a “discretionary” 12.5% service charge - for being served at the bar - and without being informed of it - no bill offered. On questioning how they can charge such prices was told “because we can”. You rip off your customers at your own risk and neither me, nor my company based very locally will be coming here again. Hope you enjoyed the couple of quid for your rip off pints and the best of luck in the future at those prices, which are now setting a new maximum for already high London prices. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.More
