Food quality was not good. Service was subpar. Food portions are small. Food was served cold. Really bad experience. I would never recommend this place again.
Excellent & Super friendly staff, A great evening celebrating good news about one of our friends who has been very ill. The food was excellent. A great ambience and extremely friendly and attentive staff... especially the manager. We Highly recommended this restaurant. Date of visit:...August 4th 2023. Peter / MarkMore
Very friendly staff. Food was fast. Good food recommendations. Food was delicious. Really good with the kids restaurant very clean.
I went to Rajasthan II with my parents who were visiting me from out of town a few weeks ago, and Ali was our waiter. He did an exceptional job! I would highly recommend the restaurant - everything was delicious - and specifically requesting Ali....He went above and beyond, which meant a lot to me and left my parents with a great impression of London.More
Glad to visit the Rajasthan II on a Friday evening. The restaurant is pretty much immaculate and the service was excellent. No problem being given a table without a prior bookings, and the restaurant was about 2/3rds full. This was our first return since that...first, brief, lockdown when the place was empty. We both chose the same starter & main course - they just coincided rather than for review reasons! The King Prawn Puree was top notch. For mains we had the Lamb Korma, and both agreed it was one of the finest we'd ever had the pleasure of eating. A side team of Mushroom Bhaji, a dish that almost invariably disappoints me in most places I visit (so why keep ordering it?) but this was really outstanding. The Rice and Naan were good & decent accompaniments. Finished off with two small ice cream desserts that were average fare. The cost, including 12.5% service fee, was just over £100. Given we didn't have much to drink between us (2 beers & 2 soft drinks) this may appear excessive, but in line generally with London dining prices. It was good to go back and see that it appears to be thriving.More
We had dinner 2 times here during our stay in London and we really enjoyed the food. For the first dinner, we ordered chicken biryani, Manchurian chicken and shank tawa gosht - lamb dish. The biryani was great, the Manchurian chicken was really hot, but...super tasty and the lamb was amazing. For the second dinner, we had lamb shashlik (searing hot from the oven) mildly spiced, but very tasty, chicken korma and sikandari lamb. Each dish was well prepared and very tasty. The staff was very polite, attentive and Ali was especially helpful and friendly.More
This is a fabulous Indian restaurant in the heart of Tower Hill. We always visit (sometimes twice) when we are in London (travelling from Australia). We love it here - the food is excellent & the staff are fantastic! Ali & the team are so...helpful & efficient - even when we are a big group of family and friends. Nothing is too much trouble.More
Hard to fault this place. Small but bustling restaurant, with very quick service, delicious food and one of the best garlic naans I have eaten. Would definitely search out next time I am in London
Fantastic restaurant, great Staff. They were all so friendly and Ali in particular was brilliant. The food was so tasty and full of flavour.they couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be back!
They know their customers at this place – City of London office types who mostly work in financial services, i.e. probably not short of a penny or two and not particularly discerning about what they stick down their mouth and indeed this restaurant caters accordingly...– an unadventurous standard menu consisting of bland over-priced dishes. In this day and age the notion of ‘the curry house’ is something of a joke – bloke-centric badly ventilated cramped restaurants that all have pretty much the same menu and are firmly stuck in an early 1990s time-warp. To be fair this place isn’t quite like that, at least not in terms of décor (although it is quite cramped) but the rest fits the aforementioned unfortunate description. Nothing on the menu that we had stands out, in fact everything was rubbish – the biryani featured little lamb meat or chicken, the vegetarian dishes featured few vegetables but lots of sauce, the sizzling prawns (whatever that dish was) were dry, the Dhal too watery…I could go on. The meat didn’t taste at all fresh and overall the food wasn’t nearly authentically spicy enough. This place probably works better for larger groups who are more interested in ordering beer rather than food. The service is quite abrupt…dishes plonked on your table, sometimes the wrong dishes. Downstairs the toilets are truly atrocious. To tell the truth I don’t expect any better from such an establishment but at £57 each (we didn’t even have desserts) this is an overpriced joke. There are plenty of better more authentic restaurants for this type of cuisine at more reasonable prices within walking distance in Whitechapel.More
Me and my partner booked a table for 7:30pm. When we arrived, no one welcomed us, I was just stared at by all of the staff members. A member of staff looked at me and just said ‘2’, then started shouting to his boss in...his native tongue and took us to a table. believe they thought we were walk ins as they didn’t even ask us any questions. Not even a ‘how are you?’. As soon as we sat down a chutney tray was placed in front of us with two poppadoms and the staff member walked away. Not saying a word. We did not order this and there was no explanation of whether we had to pay or if it was complimentary. Thankfully it was complimentary. When our food order was taken the staff member tried to upsell us side dishes and again was just very rude. The food was okay. Really nothing special. After we finished our food one of the servers came and started to pull the table cloth off our table and we had to lift things up for him to take it away. He didn’t even tell us he was going to do it or ask us to lift our glasses he just came and started to fold it up whilst me and my partner were talking. When asked if we wanted desert the server asked “desert - yes/no?” Again very impolite and rushed. It felt like they couldn’t get us out of there fast enough. Well in fact, in total we were there for 40 minutes. I would never go to this place again and would highly recommend people to avoid disappointment. It was insulting that they included a service charge on the bill AVOID!More
Excellent evening with great food & top hospitality. My elderly parents were staying nearby and the staff were wonderful. Fantastic food and a full -house
Had this as a take out and it was plenty and delicious, staff were really nice. I would visit again for sure.
