We stayed at the hotel Tavistock and decided to pop in for a few drinks before going back to the room. The place was nicely presented and clean, the staff were really pleasant and drinks prices were reasonable.

Located on the corner of the Tavistock Hotel and serves pre-prepared and reheated meals. For a quick drink or a snack its fine but there are better dining options and pubs close by.

We have dined at Jaques several times and nor been disappointed. There is a wide choice of wines at prices which indicate other wine bars are profiteering. The food - from an interesting menu was to our satisfaction; and so we're the prices!

Tasteless, 4 different meals, lukewarm, microwaved and soggy. They had the cheek to charge £4 for Diet Coke that was like water.Never again. Strange orange salad dressing with everything and rice was cold. Inedible.

Basic unimaginative food, but at a reasonable cost and served by pleasant helpful staff. The fish was tasty and cooked just right.

Like the Tavistock itself, Jacques Wine Bar is a remarkable little place. Relish its ambience and relaxed sophistication overlooking the gardens of one of London's prettiest squares. You'll be delighted with the prices, too. Our bistro-style menu is simple and tasteful. Popular dishes include chorizo and green bean salad, cinnamon lamb with couscous, and grilled chicken in a brandy sauce. Lighter lunchtime options include delicious quiches and soups. And remember to ask about our daily specials! Celebrate your arrival in London with a great value bottle of Chablis or Sancerre. Then stroll out into leafy Tavistock gardens, confident that you found the best deal in town.
