    Quiet place to eat and drink at a good price

    Chilled drinks

    We stayed at the hotel Tavistock and decided to pop in for a few drinks before going back to the room. The place was nicely presented and clean, the staff were really pleasant and drinks prices were reasonable.

    An Average Watering Hole

    Located on the corner of the Tavistock Hotel and serves pre-prepared and reheated meals. For a quick drink or a snack its fine but there are better dining options and pubs close by.

    Reasonably priced wine and food

    We have dined at Jaques several times and nor been disappointed. There is a wide choice of wines at prices which indicate other wine bars are profiteering. The food - from an interesting menu was to our satisfaction; and so we're the prices!

    Awful Food

    Tasteless, 4 different meals, lukewarm, microwaved and soggy. They had the cheek to charge £4 for Diet Coke that was like water.Never again. Strange orange salad dressing with everything and rice was cold. Inedible.
