Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I wouldn't give this place a star. As soon as we entered the place, we were greeted by a rude and hostile owner who made us feel uncomfortable. He explained straight away that if we just wanted a cup of something, we could only stay...15-20 minutes as business is business. Not even acknowledging or listening to what we said about having a light breakfast. When we politely explained that we felt attacked by his attitude and words, he told us very rudely that if we were not happy we could leave. And that's exactly what we did. Bad reflection on the business and the owner in my opinion.More

Absolutely superb cafe! Came here after visiting the museum and we’re so glad we did. The staff were so friendly & the cafe has a good welcoming atmosphere. My son loved his pancakes & I loved my omelette. It was all freshly cooked. Would highly...recommend to anyone in the area.More

Cafe located right next to Forest Hill station. Street parking few minutes walk away. Super friendly, quick service, great food. Breakfasts are very good. Turkish style yoghurt with eggs and chilli oil with sour dough bread delicious. Good menu of traditional and Turkish style dishes....Great strong fresh coffee. Highly recommended.More

Coffee had a real kick to it. Everything perfect, friendly service, clean and relaxing environment. I really recommend the Turkish eggs. Booking advised, it’s popular, and for good reason!

Definitely warrants all the five stars reviews.. welcoming staff, generous portions and great options on the menu. So close to Forest Hill station too. Wish we lived closer so I could try visit more often and try everything. I had the vegan breakfast but asked...for no beans which they kindly provided with my partner’s meal instead. Most of the breakfast dishes also come with sourdough bread which isn’t in the picture 😊More

I’m baffled by all these 5 star reviews. The food was bland and completely unseasoned - the most flavoursome part of my eggs Benedict was the chive garnish on top. Tomatoes tasted like they were cooked, for not long enough, in old oil. Eggs watery...(though yolks cooked well). Halloumi dry and hard. Tasted like they used UHT milk in my coffee. Really disappointing experience…More

Six of us plus baby had booked in here for a late breakfast/brunch. The place was really busy, but they had the table and high chair all ready by the appointed time. We all had something off the breakfast menu and were all really happy...with it. We were two vegetarians, two vegans and two meat eaters, so they cover all the bases. Good coffee, tea and orange juice to go with it too. The service was efficient, helpful and friendly. Thoroughly recommended. Best to take cash with you if possible.More

A wonderful dynamic menu with something for everyone, whatever the mood. We were wondering around after having been to the Horniman museum (don’t know the area) looking for lunch and stumbled upon this place. I had the spag Bol and it was fantastic. Absolutely lovely. Very friendly staff. Good food and good prices. I had pancakes with syrup and strawberries..amazing. Other half had a ham and cheese panini. He was it was good. Very filling. We decided to go in because of the sign outside... Open until the...next lockdown, which made us laugh. Working in the hospitality industry myself I know that feeling.More
