Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friend ordered the macaroni cheese and it arrived last, only to discover it was frozen in the middle! They replaced it and were apologetic and deducted it from the bill. Also when I booked I mentioned that a friend has shellfish allergies. They should...have contacted me to say they couldn’t guarantee her safety but they waited until we arrived. She ate street food outside and had a better experience! Typical poor London service.More

Save yourself a lot of money and avoid this place. I went for dinner with my family and was really looking forward to it. However, on arriving we were told most of the lobster dishes on the menu were unavailable. The staff were pleasant, but...things took a turn when two on my table ordered the prawn cocktail. I tried one and it was one of the worst prawns I’d even eaten. When the waitress came to ask how was everything and we answered honestly that the prawns were tasteless we were talked down to and told that’s how they were supposed to be. They weren’t supposed to have a flavour that’s why there was a dipping sauce. The rest of the meal was equally disappointing, the £25 lobster and crayfish roll was ok, but it was the size of a small hot dog and came with no additional sides. I was honestly shocked at how it justified that price tag. The Mac and cheese was edible, but they had tried to mask its tastelessness by piling on the oregano which tasted very out of place. We left deflated, disappointed, and conned out of alot of money. The customer service was all empty gesture, and we felt so uncomfortable by the end that we left as soon as possible, leaving half my food uneaten. The only redeeming feature I can note is they made a nice pisco sour. But that’s it.More

Came here on a Saturday night at 6:30. Place was empty bar one other family which set alarm bells ringing, so was being told that half of the dishes on the menu they were out of (including the whole lobster and brownie). Ordered shrimp cocktail...for starter (£10) and lobster and crayfish roll for main (£25). Shrimp was just five small prawns still in shell on ice, with a pot of sauce. They were mushy and flavourless. Very worried at time of eating that they were off. Sauce was sharp and unpleasant. Ended up only eating two and then leaving rest. Lobster roll main came while we still had starters on table. For £25 you expect more than 4 bites. Honestly this thing was about 4 inches long, and mostly just crayfish with two tiny bits of lobster claw. When waitress came over to ask how everything going I said I was a bit disappointed and explained the shrimp had no flavour. They said they were meant to be flavourless as they had been boiled and that I was to have it with sauce. I said it was a bit odd that they were meant to be flavourless. She then just shrugged and walked away. As soon as she had turned I asked for the bill. Service was left on, which I quickly got taken off. and could hear them whispering about us as we left. The Jay Rayner review of this place is now well past its sell by date (2019) – this is a sad overpriced place, and the feeling is of a restaurant on its way out. £50 per person with drinks and still starving – what a sad Saturday evening that was.More

I came here 2 years ago and the restaurant was great - not too different from Burger & Lobster but no difference in quality and whole place was a bit quirkier. Pretty shocking how far it has fallen, I assume under new management. My friend...and I paid £25 a piece for a lobster Mac and cheese and a lobster roll. The mac and cheese had neither macorni pasta nor cheese, and a pitiful amount of lobster. When I pointed out that coglione pasta is not the same as macaroni pasta, our waiter just shrugged and said that it was all just pasta anyways. My lobster roll was ok but the portion size was a disgrace and the brioche roll was stale. Imagine less than a 6inch sandwich from subway. Whole place just felt a bit sad, as if the owner had made a conscious decision that they were no longer going to try and serve good food, and that the no1 goal would be to fleece people for their money. Our waiter was great, and we enjoyed our evening very much. The chicken escalope was a little over cooked but otherwise the food was good and the service was decent.

I have lived in London my entire adult life. I have never felt more like a mug at the end of a meal. Over a hundred quid for 1.5 courses and a cocktail each. The lobster rolls had at most a whisper of lobster, the...buffalo shrimp could have been any white protein, and there were flies everywhere. Honestly a bit embarrassed to have eaten here - anybody who can feed my girlfriend’s hankering for a lobster roll please do hit me up!More

We stopped by without a booking. The booths were all unoccupied but we were told we could not sit at one presumably hedging their bets for larger groups although they stayed empty which was annoying. Starters of tacos were excellent, and burger to follow. Cold...shrimp roll seemed overpriced. Table service was excellent. Good wine options. A bit of a mixed review but we would return and perhaps not order the shrimp roll next time.More

Lovely meal to start a wonderful evening. We were enthused by the wonderful service, especially the lovely Ewelina who recommended some great dishes. We really enjoyed the lobster crab roll.

Food not great ! standard to be honest and very over priced. Need more then two members of staff working because service was terrible. Complained how bad the lobster Mac and cheese was and the waiter took it off are bill which I thought was...great but luckily we checked it because he put a extra drink onto are bill to make up for it. Honestly the van is so much better. And while i was waiting to be served a couple had been waiting for a while and got up and walked out because it was so slow and as she was leaving she said your service is appalling I will go somewhere else. I would not go back or recommend it to anyone. Thank youMore

Being from Manchester Struggled to find Rang the restaurant, staff so helpful with directions. Once found staff were so friendly and accommodating. Gave great advice on menu choices. I had 1/2 Lobster with fries, very nice indeed. Best fries ever. Lobster was delicious 😋. My...daughter had a cheese burger with mac & cheese, throughly enjoyed. We shared Calamari, lovely and crisp. Food served at good temperaturs. Good portion of fries also Calamari. Good drink choices, soft & alcohol. Highly recommend and will be going back when in London.More

Stopped here for lunch whilst sightseeing London and very glad we did so. The host was lovely as she allowed us to enter the restaurant even before it was fully opened so we could warm ourselves with a coffee. The food was amazing, presented well...and tasted great, especially the Lobster and Crayfish Mac and Cheese. Not the cheapest place to eat but then it's Lobster, still good value for money. Would certainly recommend a stop here when visiting London.More
