Outstanding Caribbean fine dining in the most beautiful setting. My sisters and I visited for a birthday treat and we were not disappointed. The food, the art and decor, the service were all fabulous! I’m disabled and the staff went out of their way to...ensure I had a seamless visit. We had the jackfruit patty, jerk chicken and ackee and salt fish cakes to start and all were delicious. If, like me, you are Jamaican, remember that this is fine dining (so the portions are small and precise) but don’t worry you won’t leave hungry. For mains we all had the curry goat which was the best I’ve ever eaten. The only thing that would have improved it would have been no bone but I’m sure that would have impacted the flavour. The rice and peas, slaw and all the other sides were great. The plantain could have been more ripe for me but the lime and chilli was a nice touch and we loved the hot pepper sauce as well. The desserts were good and the drinks were lovely. It was lovely to be able to have a chat with chef Dom who is warm and generous with his time. Overall a great experience. All three of us have booked to come back with our partners. Fab.More

after months of waiting finally managed to get a table at the good front room , its been so hyped up as the best posh carribbean food in london , Alas for me it did not quite deserve thehype, first the service in the palm...court let it down , have to try so hard to get some attention to get a drink , as for the drinks we had cocktails , and we're so disappointed with them , rum punch shoud be served in a tall glass with ice, we got the smallest martini glass and finished it in one gulp . Starters were ok but the mains was a big let down , curry goat on the bone ??? more like a lamb shank, pork bellies , more like fat rashers of bacon , sides served in small pots , im sure you can tell i was not impressed , ,deserts i had the smallest bun and cheese bun they call it , more like a banana loaf , very over rated very over priced , one to avoid in my opinion. i have had much better elsewhere, lower priced and bigger portions , better service and far far better taste ,More

Visited this restaurant with friends to experience this Caribbean fusion menu. The location was great and the decor was very beautiful. The flavours came together nicely and the portion sizes were very generous. There was a rather interesting take on the bun and cheese, desert,...but tasty all the same. I will certainly return, however, it took one month from booking the reservation to dining so I am not sure when the next time will be. Would certainly recommend.More

Delightful and very stylish afternoon tea. Diverse choices of delicious teas. 4 courses, 2 Savoury and 2 Sweet. Live piano music on a mini grand piano was wonderful. More food than we can eat and we each had a glass of champagne to start which...was very special. We were celebrating a birthday and without asking, we got a cheesecake and a birthday candle to finish a delightful afternoon. Recommend it if you want to spoil yourself. 👍👍👍More

Visited “The good front room” restaurant for a birthday meal last week having seen Dom win the recent competition on channel 4. The food was excellent and it was nice to get to sample what was showcased on the programme. Great flavours, great ingredients and...a great setting. The goat curry was lovely and the sea bass cooked to perfection. Well worth a visit.More

We were addressed by staff with Madam, then Ladies and finally Guys. We were wondering if the waiter needed to correct his eye-site as we were 3 women. The term "guys" is rather ignorant and respectless. Three different waiters and three different titles ALL of...them feeling very inappropriate in a fine dining setting. Food was very late and very poorly presented. Music far to loud and our request to turn it down so that we could hold a proper conversation, was not attended to.More

Perfect from beginning to the end. The afternoon tea was beautiful, lovely delicate sandwiches, gorgeous cakes and perfect scones. The server, Alum, asked if it was a special occasion and then had a ‘happy anniversary’ chocolate decoration added to our cheesecake, a brilliant touch. Alum...was attentive, there when we needed him but not in the way. A relaxed and special couple of hours.More

My 12 year old daughter and I had afternoon tea here on our recent stay in london. I chose Palm Court because I'd read that they cater a special menu for children at what I thought was a reasonable price. Overall, the offerings served were...just okay for me, particularly, the pastries and the cakes. No wow factor there at all. We had afternoon tea at the Crystal Moon Lounge at the Corinthia on a visit in April and the everything on the whole was far more impressive and delicious. Oh especially the scones which we always look forward to in an English afternoon tea. The ones that were served to us here were small, dry and just....ordinary. On a positive note, the service and the ambience were very good. Still, for what we paid in the end, this was not value for money.More

Afternoon Tea At Palm Court. Very grand setting and excellent service. Sandwiches and scones top class. Pastries, however, are somewhat lacking. Small plate of very stylish but very small pastries. A larger reimagined victoria sponge to share was not ideal. Biscuit base , dry sponge...and fruit jelly covering that was quite tart. Did not seem appropriate. Why no traditional cakes. Fruit cake, Battenburg or proper Victoria sponge. Usually we go to Fortnum & Masons. I think on reflection we will return there.More

From the minute we entered the building the staff were fantastic. They were so friendly and were talking away explaining the afternoon tea and what we were getting. Service was brilliant and we were very relaxed and didn't feel rushed at all. Will definitely return...again when in London.More

he Good Front Room Launch at The Langham London - Europe’s first ‘Grand Hotel’ that was opened in 1865. Nested in the luxurious dining area, I feel this is the best new modern Caribbean restaurant in the heart of Regent Street, London. The curated menu...is tailored by Chef Dom Taylor - the crowned winner of Five Star Kitchen: Britain’s Next Great Chef on Channel 4. This latest delicious menu has a combination of very exotic Caribbean style and London’s city vibe. The exotic flavour comes from Caribbean’s most celebrated ingredients, such as plantain, goat, rum and sorrel. And No Spicy at all!!! Afternoon tea here costs 75 pounds, on the expensive side even for fancy places. Unfortunately, the experience is not worth it. The palm court smells good and has comfortable chairs. Pleasant live piano music (easy listening) accompanies the meal. It is a comparatively small space,...so not too crowded and nicely quiet. However, service and quality of food and drink is poor. You are allotted 1 hour 45 minutes for your afternoon tea. I ordered a cocktail which took very long to arrive, after sandwiches were already served and along with tea. The sandwiches were tasty, but the fillings were sparse. Tea was served about 10 minutes after the sandwiches had been sitting in front of us. It was poured immediately and tasted like hot water at best and like stale old tea leaves at worst. The cakes ranged from pretty good to very good, but the scones were just awful. We were on a tight schedule, but service was so slow we were there for well over 2 hours.More

Afternoon tea treat with friends. Slow at times non existent service, measly portions and cold tea! All for the pricey sum of over £100 per person? Has the world gone mad?
