We came here for my sisters engagement brunch (bottomless option) and had the best afternoon. The staff were lovely and very attentive - the second we finished a bottle of Prosecco they brought over a new one!
The food was lovely and the kitchen very kindly accommodated to my requirements (gluten and dairy free), adapting my options as necessary. We opted for the Steak sandwich and Fish Finger sandwiches and these were delicious and served promptly upon ordering.
As a congratulations to my sister on her engagement, the bar staff sent over a tequila shot for the 5 of us on the house, which was an unexpected but very welcome surprise!
Thank you so much to all the staff for a fabulous afternoon!

Cannot not recommend enough - Shannon was our hostess and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND. The burger was perhaps a 7/10 but the service was a 10/10 she was so attentive and she actually cared. She suggest things on the menu/best drink, cannot fault the service. Also shout out to Tatay she was a gem, she personable and guided us in drinks after the bb was over.

We came as a group for the bottomless brunch, in which you pay for your selected food off the menu and then £25 on top for bottomless Prosecco or Mimosas. The food itself was amazing with really generous portion sizes, however the “bottomless” aspect wasn’t as great. We were only given one bottle at a time which was barely enough for a glass each with 6 people and it often felt like we were waiting quite a while for another. Definitely just something to keep in mind for larger groups or it can feel like you aren’t getting what you pay for, especially considering the hefty service charge. Despite this we would definitely recommend and come again 😊

Thank you so much for your review. Glad you enjoyed the food! There are 6 glasses of prosecco in one bottle so do give a bottle per table. We do our utmost to regularly replace them. Next time we'll drop an extra one on your table!
We do add on a 12.5% service charge which is the normal amount in all bars and restaurants. This is discretionary so if you didn't feel comfortable paying it then it's completely fine :)

After a 2.5 hour wait for food and no explanation for the delay until we complained, I definitely wouldn’t return. We were initially ignored by our waitress when asking to order, to then be told that we ‘couldn’t’ order so we had to wait until we were allowed to do so. The delay was down to the absence of a chef as the main explanation, but when it comes to prime-time Saturday bookings you would’ve thought a Plan B would’ve been in place to deal with the large number of covers, most of which had been booked for months in advance I’m sure. The manager of the restaurant helped by extending our bottomless drinks and assisting with the bill, but the wait and subsequent frustration tainted the remainder of our evening. Our mid-afternoon lunch booking turned into dinner! I have never experienced such a delay in a restaurant and lack of genuine apology. Such a shame because the place had a good vibe initially but I definitely wouldn’t return.

I can only apologise about the delays to your food.
As you can read from our many positive reviews, this was not our normal service.
We were left very short in the kitchen, last minute on the day, where we had 2 staff off sick including the chef.
We did try to advise all customers at the start that there was a delay.

I am writing this review while I’m at the restaurant.
We came here to try the Sunday roast/brunch and we booked in advance.
The eggs royal have finally arrived, cold as winter and ironically after an hour the order was sent - we decided not to send it back because we did not want to wait any longer.
The veggie roast was tasteless.
In addition, we were not informed when we arrived that we had to wait so long, even though they knew they only had one chef and that there were two big tables ahead of us.
I’ve never known how a service could be that slow, and poor communication only topped up the negative experience at Lost Society by not informing us of any possible delay with the food due shortage of staff. The bread was uncooked, another irony. And on the top of all of these, after bringing a pint when we ordered a half pint, a Bloody Mary when we ordered a bloody maria (only to be told minutes after that they couldn’t make this because they didn’t have the ingredients). The only consolation is that it’s a gorgeous day outside. Time to go for a walk.

I’m sorry, that you had a disappointing experience at Lost Society.
Unfortunately we were short staffed in the kitchen on Sunday as our head chef called in sick, this led to longer than expected delays.
We also had new staff on the floor, so apologies if your drinks order was taken incorrectly.
As you can read from our many glowing reviews, this is not our usual service and I reached out to you on the day to offer a discount should you wish to come back again.

I booked a bottomless brunch for my birthday. Despite being told they could cater for my coeliac disease and severe nut allergy on the phone prior to booking, I was shocked to arrive and be told all I could eat was a burger patty and a salad. When asking for some money off I was insulted to have £2 removed from the price of the “burger and chips” that I had ordered. The service was awful, one lady was very patronising, touching my shoulder asking if “I was okay hun?”, she also spent 10 minutes in a shouting argument with the table behind us who also had a bad experience. The other waiter I spoke to was very difficult to start with, saying that they deal with normal allergies because they aren’t as serious so cross contamination didn’t matter as much. Which didn’t sit very well with me. Finally, for a disco brunch, there was nothing “disco” about it. I recommend that people with allergies are very careful before eating here. I will not be going again.

This is very disappointing to read. We do take allergies extremely seriously and as it stated on your booking notes that you had a nut and gluten allergy we did inform the kitchen team but when mentioned to us on the day of the severity of it that nut traces were not possible, we didn't want to take any risks to your health and as we couldn't confirm that the gluten free burger buns we get delivered from our bread company didn't contain traces, the team member who looked after you decided that it'd be best not to serve the burger with the bun. We offered a side salad instead of chips as there could've also been traces with them and prepped your burger in a separate prep kitchen away from any nut traces possible which you accepted and discounted the amount from the dish, which was eventually comped from your bill.
We regularly have guests with nut allergies join us and as they aren't as severe as yours, can have traces of nuts in their dishes as long as it doesn't contain actual nuts. One of your guests did mention that it was quite difficult booking restaurants due to your allergy and we were only making sure your health and wellbeing was put first and would never want to risk any of our guests to fall ill because we weren't being professional with guests allergies so please understand that we were putting your best interests at heart.

Came here for brunch one Saturday - really loved the atmosphere and setting. The waitress and front of house staff were brilliant, super attentive, and the food came quickly. The only thing I would say is we were two veggie/vegans and we both had the vegan full English - it wasn't the best. It was okay, the hash brown was lovely and beans great. The quinoa had no taste or use, we both thought scrambled tofu would be a better option or even just more hash browns instead. The sausages were a weird fake chorizo, would definitely say to replace these with Richmond meat free or Naked Glory or something similar - go for the normal type of sausage rather than chorizo. Overall a lovely experience though and the banana smoothie we had was delicious. Would come back and try the soya pancakes!

Arrived for our booking at 3 to be told "your table isn't ready" despite having booked months in advance - not a great start.
We were warned from the start that there would be a delay with the food - little did we know this would total in a 2.5 hour wait for food! We understand this was due to sickness in the kitchen however I don't think that's an excuse for a busy Saturday with a fully book schedule with people like us that booked months in advance. When the food did come out we were already deflated and agitated - what the restaurant lacks in management it makes up for with bottomless prosecco but despite the staff being very on top of refills this did not prevent the occasion being tainted. 11 stomachs on bottomless prosecco and no food is such a disaster and the staff did nothing to rectify or acknowledge this. I would have been happier to leave the booking and go to nandos but we were tied down to the bottomless deal as you are required to order food to qualify. Don't be fooled by the flair and £13 cocktails, it's not worth it. I would have been happier anywhere else. Don't waste your money

Had dinner here today and was very disappointed with the food and service. The front of house was very unhelpful and quite rude as well as not wearing a mask. The last time we came for roast we loved it but today the food was not very good. The steak was cooked well done when was asked to be medium rare and portion size was very small.

A seriously tasty brunch served up by friendly staff in a seriously stylish Art Deco location. Coffee was excellent, pancake stack was generous, everything wascooked to perfection and special requests were happily accommodated. We will definitely return!

Unfortunately some of the staff are more interested in shuffling people in like cattle, specially the hostess who could do with toning down the aggressive approach. After directing us to the back garden and getting our own drinks by bar staff that had no idea how to serve a docent cocktail she asked us if we had a reservation.
As long time residents of the area this is the worst carnation of this venue.
So who ever is running this show better have a good look and maybe realise that is not all about to treat people like stupid children, after all you never know who’s going to walk through your door.
As always, it’s the management quality. For awhile now, it’s poor and lacks the know how. Instead of showing male testerone show customer service can-do instead of showing off to the female staff who the boss is!
Feels very uncomfortable specially if you notice this thinks.
Very amateur and works until you have serious competition.
It a shame - as a local we have seen many ups and downs.
Currently is a proper down.
Get it sorted. Please!

Perhaps this charge could be made at the table and the band paid from the pub’s takings?
This would be convenient for customers who don’t have cash, and would be more Covid-safe.
I would also like to request that bottles of beer be left sealed when ordered by the bucket. I don’t drink very fast, so by the time I drink later bottles, they have gone flat.
I did request this of the Brazilian bar staff, but was rudely told that he’d already informed me it was pub policy on a previous visit. I don’t believe pub policy is law, and it would be nice for the customer’s request to be acknowledged, respected, or at least for a decent explanation to be given.
I did talk to the bar staff subsequently we had a good chat, but I’d still like to understand whether this policy could be changed.

My boyfriend booked our table and when we arrived were greeted straight away. Our friends arrived shortly afterwards. We ordered some beer, bloody mary's and ordered out Sunday roasts. The service was fantastic, Richard was so lovely and funny and helpful, he made our day! The food is delicious and the roasts are generous portions so we recommend coming here for a Sunday meal and good vibes! We will be back...

I reserved a table for 3 @lostsocietybattersea to have a night out with the girls. It looks like the whole was grey going by the pics but when we arrived we were shuffled to the back out door area after having just walked past many available seats indoors. I had to go back inside and request to be moved indoors, the managers response was he’s really busy and and others have reservations. I asked politely ask him if it was because I was we were indifferent. After changing out seat 3 times we were then offered shots on the house for the way we were treated... (Did I mention it was raining outside). Don’t get me wrong great cocktails but I won’t allow myself to be treated unfairly never. I’m a good blogger so I’ll be eating this on my insta page: Rene- Monique-xx

I had a table booked for my partner's birthday for 8 people plus a baby for an early dinner. They called me about 20 minutes before our booking to say it was over 21s only, so we couldn't bring the baby. They said this was on my confirmation email, which I checked and it wasn't. We were all on route and had nowhere else to go on a busy Saturday evening in December. I'd booked 2 months in advance, so they'd had ages to let me know. Awful customer service!

Hi Rhiannon,
I'm disappointed to read your negative review.
I called you ahead of your booking and let you know that you would only be able to stay from 6pm-8pm, as our Sat nights are very busy and not suitable for young babies, which you said was fine. When you arrived, you said yourself it was too noisy as the baby was only four months old.
Our venue is not suitable for babies this young on Friday and Sat evenings.
We are also an over 21 venue, which is clearly stated at the time of booking and also on our website.
