Don't go here if you expect to have a food menu and make a choice. There is one salad and one main course. But the main is perfectly cooked steak and that's why people go and why there is always a queue (you can't book) after 630pm. It is always reliable - salad with dressing is a good appetizer and... After hearing about Le Relais De Venise in other worls location (myself in person from friends in Switzerland) I decided to give it a try while visiting the wonderful neighbourhood of Marlebone, London. After waiting in que for quite a while (main reason for the missing star in this review) we were served to a table in a happy interior... More

I admit I'm a creature of habit. Well - with a selection of my favourite restaurants, that is. And this is a prime example. It's steak and chips and salad and house red and it's choice of well done, medium or rare steak and you get seconds....lots of seconds! Great! And you can't book and have to queue. Great! And... You know what to expect....but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. The speed of the movement of the queue can be a little boring sometimes but once inside it never fails to please. The salad, the steak, the frites and that wonderful sauce. Always ask for more sauce !

Great steak frites, and moreish desserts too! Only downside is the long, long queue in the cold and the even colder service when you make it in. Feel very rushed, whilst trying to enjoy the lovely food.

Friend and I went on a Sunday evening, didn't have to wait long to be seated and were served quickly. The steak and their sauce was absolutely amazing - easily the best steak I've ever had. The meal is only £25 which is outstanding value for the portion sizes and quality of food. Had good drinks too

Why do people queue up for this place? I can confirm this as this is exactly what I did last night at 6.15pm (It opens at 6.30pm). I can understand why the simple menu attracts people ,but god this place was awful. Simple Salad to start was what it was a simple salad ,nothing to get excited about. French bread... More

Good service and quick. No bookings so get there early or be prepared to wait. 6pm and no problem with getting a table. Nice not to have to make a choice on the menu! 1st course is salad, followed by sliced steak cooked as you like it and fries. Second serving offered to us. Fair price for London. Optional 12.5%... Salad, steak, fries, good read wine and dessert. All delicious! Do you need anything else? Just make sure that you go early to avoid a long wait.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
