If you like steak... this is the place. I've taken so many family, friends and colleagues here and it has never failed to impress. Queuing can be a pain but i never takes that long to get in.

I have been going to Le Relais De Venise off and on through the years. The quality of the food is always consistent - from the steaks to the french fries and the gravy. Always well worth the wait. Lunch time service is usually fast and brisk and a shorter wait in line.

This is the simplest of menus. Salad, steak and French fries. You can have the steak well cooked to still pumping blood, and then there is the secret sauce. Of course, nobody knows what's in it, but the secret sauce totally makes this restaurant. The servings are always plenty, and they help you out by not putting it all on... More

I've been going to this restaurant for the past 5 years at least once every month. Even though there's no variety in choices they never fail to impress me! Sometimes the queue outside is long, but when you avoid the peek times (weekend) its quite a reasonable wait. Their creme brûlée is the best I have ever tasted in London.

Worth the queue. They get the basics right, expect rustic. There is no polish but you dont dine here for that. Great food with a bottle of plonk. You go, you eat, you leave and there is something nice about that.

Great atmosphere. The menu is brilliantly executed and results in perfectly cooked food with the delights of the 'secret' sauce. Wine list is also good. We had a carafe of the house red which was very drinkable. I will definitely return!

This really is a great concept; once you're inside! The food is simplicity personified. It's always said offer less choices, but do a few things well. Well here they offer one thing and do it brilliantly. For steak and chips it really is a fab night. However, don't dawdle on the way. We arrived around 7:30 and with the (refreshing)... More

I've tried to go here a couple of times, but had been put off by the long queues both times. But on a Saturday night at 8.30pm we thought we'd chance it, and though the queue was snaking around the corner, we only had to wait a fairly reasonable 15 mins, as the queue moved at a decent speed. The... More

I've been to Le Relais De Venise many times! And every time it's worth the wait. The no-booking policy means that you have to either go at 6pm when it opens, so you manage to get in in the first round, or prepare to wait for approximately 30-45', depending on how busy an evening it is. But L'Entrecote is one... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
