The best restaurant we visited during our stay in December (2017) and one of the best restaurants we've visited full stop. Will definitely be coming back when we're next in London. My husband had a freshly baked pizza and I had a seafood medley which was incredible, seriously delicious and perfectly cooked. We shared a side of fries, a generous... More

My partner and I shared a lovely, light meal here: red house wine, Italian sausage/red peppers starter, green salad, and Margarita pizza. We didn't have any of the problems others have mentioned about being kept waiting. Maybe we just lucked out (Wed. night, about 7:30, not crowded), but we'll be back for sure.

Had lunch here at 2 PM after a trip to the British Museum. Still serving lunch at that time and it was well served, good Italian food, plenty to choose from and very friendly Italian staff!! Make sure staff get the tip!

Visited with a group of 15 for lunch....where to start.... First off it took a total of 3 hours from start to finish to all order and get served 1 main meal! Second- I ordered the smoked salmon salad. The Salmon was slimey, smelly and clearly way past its best. I had eaten 2 bits by this point. I sent... More

A great find and very accessible for Theatre land. Children welcomed and a good family experience. Excellent service, food and value for money. Highly recommend.

We discovered this restaurant this evening. The menu had a simple, yet good selection selection of nibbles, starters, mains and deserts to choose from (plus the chef's specials). The food was elegant in its simplicity and tasted delicious. The atmosphere quiet and relaxed; the staff were charming. Thinking of booking for a 50th birthday celebration.

Me and my husband had dinner here three times in a row. The food is excellent, the dishes are plentiful and the staff is very kind. If we return to London we will be back for sure.

Have eaten here many times over the years & very pleased that food & service are as good as ever. Tried on 2 separate evenings to eat here & it was full, always a good sign, 3rd attempt was successful, thankfully.

Old Amalfi was near our hotel so we thought we'd give it a go. We got a warm welcome from both the waitress and waiter so it was off to a good start. The menu isn't the most extensive in the world but there are some really nice choices, both traditional and slightly more avante gard. I have to say... More

Good bit comfort food after a long day. A pleasant and low pressure environment where you can comfortably spend a few hours relaxing whilst getting something to eat. This is also the case for single diners. The room has a nice acoustics, which means it is easy to carry on a conversation with whomever you are there with. I have... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
