Unfortunately I didn't take a picture. Felt awkward if I were to take them in front of my bosses - whom Alhamdulillah treated us out! But back on Slemani, I walked past Slemani countless times in Edgware Road and was surprised at how interesting it is inside - with its interior maroon walls and huge pictures of Iraq? The menu... I visited with a friend recently and we were first told that we weren't allowed to sit outside unless we smoked a Sheesha. Although we were a bit annoyed we were understanding and moved inside despite the waiters lack of an apology. After about 10 minutes inside we were again asked to move, this time so a bigger group could sit... More

Visited this Arabic restaurant last month, where I ordered a large lamb tikka, but shockingly I only appeared to receive the skin of the lamb rather than the lamb breast itself as the lamb cubes were less than a millimeter thick and completely inedible. When I complained I still had to pay the full £15 bill!!! WHAT A JOKE!!! AVOID,... More

I visit this place for having dinner and to smoke shisha. I ordered the mixed grill and it was really good and tasty, it serves with salad, bread and rice which is brought to me at the middle of my meal (they forgot the rice at first) and then went outside to smoke shisha, was average and the shisha rude... We were very very hungry and all other places nearby looked quite unsafe, so we decided to try this restaurant since it seemed better then others and we never regretted! I just cannot explain how heavenly good the food was. I am not a big fan of lamb (because many places just do not know how to cook it and... More

Wonderful food. Amazing Hummus. Was visiting London and wanted some good food. Came across this little place on a night bus ride. I miss it. Will return again someday.

I'm not going to rate this a 5 as I wasn't completely blown away by the food, best in class etc. However, it's a nice restaurant as the food was nice and plentiful. I know nothing of Iraqi/Kurdish food so I'm unsure how this compares to other places, but it certainly was tasty, and very good value. Starter of kubba... More

We have visited edgware road many times but never tried this place until a few weeks ago, gutted that we never visited before! The food was amazing, everything we had tasted great and the portions were very generous, if you're ever in the area make sure you visit, you won't be disappointed!

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
