We can across this restaurant in the Where magazine. I am usually dubious about picking restaurants from tourist magazines as I feel a good restaurant should not need to advertise. However, as Sophie's was on our way we thought we would give it a try....More

On a busy Saturday, we waited 20 minutes for a table for 5. The pre-theatre menu offered sufficient variety for all five of us. Though very busy, our waiter was consistently attentive, helpful and friendly. Buzzy London atmosphere. Tasty food especially their imaginative homemade ice...More

I went there on Wednesday for a pre-show dinner. We didn't have a reservation, but that was no problem, since they found us a table right away. The a la carte menu *is* a bit expensive (especially for steak lovers), so we went for the...More

This was our second time in Sophie's Covent Garden. The set menu is good value for money. The food is very good but the service was disinterested and so slow. Yes, the restaurant was busy but we had to ask twice for our drinks and...More

I have visited Sophie's in Covent Garden twice, once with family and another time with a friend, and had a lovely evening both times. The food is delicious. I personally recommend the chicken sandwich and the ribs. The cocktails are really yummy too. The only...More

Went here as my hubby wanted to eat steak but we looked at the menu, the lobster club sambo caught his eye so that was his order. I went for the £18 pre-theatre menu and so we shared the smoked mackeral pate (very good) and...More

After my bad experience I've been invited to try the place again and have the real Sophie's experience so I decided to go back with a friend last Saturday night. I booked a table at 8 o'clock but we arrived a bit earlier and we...More

Bored, slightly disinterested staff and a burger that gave my husband a bad tummy. Expensive for very average food.

Visited here for the second time, as part of a theatre & dinner package. It was a Friday night, the restaurant was thronging, there was a great atmosphere. Despite it being so busy, both the food and service were absolutely excellent!

Great steak, giant martini's & guaranteed fun. Open all day, ideal for business lunch, post work cocktail, a perfect pre & post show hotspot, fabulous dinner with friends or big blow out with a party. Our steaks are cut from naturally raised, native breed British beef, much of which we age & butcher in house. Whilst beef is our thing, we have other favourites BBQ ribs, grilled fish, roast chicken, fresh salads & amazing homemade puddings. We are all about the personal touch & great for any occasion.
