We found this busy tavern walking back to our hotel from the tube station. The place was packed every time we walked by. Delicious food and great atmosphere. Such a good experience, we went back a couple days later.

Was not expecting anything fancy but I really didn’t expect my overpriced cheese sandwich to be on stale grocery store white bread. Food was a great disappointment. However, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The bathrooms were also clean. Good place for...a drink but I wouldn’t recommend eating here.More
Thank you for your feedback, and we appreciate your honest assessment of your experience. We're sorry to hear that the food did not meet your expectations, and we apologize for the quality of the cheese sandwich. We take your comments seriously and will work on...More
Attentive bar staff, very good food. Good selection of English beers on tap. Has sports on the TVs. A nice break from the busier and rowdier bars on Euston Rd and around St Pancras.More
We're thrilled to hear that you had a positive experience at our establishment. It's great that you found our bar staff attentive, enjoyed the food, and appreciated the selection of English beers on tap. The inclusion of sports on the TVs adds to the atmosphere,...More
I have been here on two separate occasions, once traveling with my wife and once on a business trip. It's conveniently near St Pancras, so it's an easy stop if you're traveling by train. The food is solid pub food - perfectly good if not...spectacular, and the draught selection is excellent. Prices are fair, and service is as expected or a bit better. I'll certainly return next time I'm in LondonMore
Thank you for your review! We look forward to welcoming you back for your 3rd visit in the future.
Booked a table here for my 64th birthday , what a fantastic find this pub is . A credit to sheperd and neame . The staff were brilliant, the food exceptional and tasted lovely .Choice of beers really good and so close to kings cross station.... Will definitely go here againMore
Thank you for the 5 stars! We are so glad you chose to spend your birthday with us, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Went primarily to sample the Shepherds Neame brews which I don't often come across and was happy with these. Food menu was not just the pub classics, some more unusual fare as well & was tasty but a few items weren't available, more than I...would have expected. Small ( human) error with our order but this was sorted out with no fuss and welcome, but unnecessary, compensation offered. Friendly atmosphere and busy but not overly so. Ultimate mark from reviewers point of view is that my wife wants to go back the next time we are in London - this is an accolade very rarely bestowed.More
Thank you for the review, are are very glad to gain your wife's approval! We have a new menu launching very soon (hence the limited quantity of some menu items at the moment) so please do come back and try some of our new dishes!
I'm visiting from America and this is my idea of a London pub. It wasn't far from our hotel, so we picked it. The employees are friendly and helpful, the menu has good sturdy English foods (fish & chips, meat pies, etc.), and it's noisy....Do not expect a quiet environment: people are enjoying themselves and the food and the atmosphere. There's a plaque outside giving a bit of info on who Mabel was and when she lived, and also that there are unexplained noises in the early hours. But we're in London: it's laden with specters. We strongly recommend Mabel's Tavern.More
Thank you for your 5 star review! Please let me know which employees served you on you visit and I shall personally make sure they get the praise they well deserve (and maybe a pint after their shift!). Email me at mabels@shepherd-neame.co.uk!
Mabel’s is definitely a local place but very friendly and acceptable to visitors. The brews are always cold and the food is pretty good. The burgers are pretty big so my wife and I shared one.
Thank you for you review! We certainly do love serving our regulars and passing customers just as much as each other! We also definitely recommend coming here with and empty stomach if you are planning to eat, the bigger the portion the better, no?
Had booked a table for dinner at this pub as it was close to our accomodation but also because we'd had a drink here once before. When we arrived there was a slight mix up with the booking so we had a drink while we...waited. The lady who served us was called Rhianna and she was just so nice and friendly and even gave us a free drink to compensate. Mistakes happen and it's how it's dealt with that you remember! So, we had a lovely meal in a lovely place with lovely staff - would highly recommend.More
Thank you for your 5 star review! I have spoken to the team member you mentioned and let her know that she handled the booking mix up well. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Really nice pub with great food, it is a chain pub but this is one of the better ones I have eaten in and I spend a lot of time in London. Slightly off the beaten track near Euston/kings x.
Recently stayed at hotel round the corner and were looking for somewhere to watch football and have a drink. Staff very obliging and friendly. Would definitely visit again should I be in the area.
I didn't eat here but it was close to the hotel I was in so I popped in for a few pints on a couple of nights. It was a nice pub with an hospitable feel and friendly staff. Great to see Shepherd Neame Masterbrew...on cask so I enjoyed that. Lively crowd and a lot of people there for the sport but a friendly and welcoming pub for a pintMore
Stopped in for dinner, and found a nice atmosphere with friendly staff and some decent food. REAL CHIPS! LGBTIQA+ friendly. Will absolutely visit again before I leave London.
An interesting place. Pleasant staff, nice environment. However, I wasn’t impressed by the beer. We started with Master Brew, as the Whitstable Bay was off. It wasn’t to my taste. On the next round, the Whitstable Bay was back on so three of us had...that. It was cloudy and slightly vinegary. OK, but not ideal. Two of us ordered fish, chips and peas. The fish was OK. I’ve no idea whether it was cod or haddock as, contrary to advertising regulations, it wasn’t specified. The chips were clearly McCains’ frozen chips. No problem with that but they served up far too many. Maybe that’s not a bad thing to some. One of us had ham, egg & chips and was happy with it and another enjoyed the pie and mash. So, there you are. Not unpleasant but not somewhere I would be rushing back to.More
