We loved this place, the burgers are wonderful, the chips are delicious, and the prices reasonable. Great for lunch or dinner.

This is a chain. The tables were clean decor nice and good service. Plenty of choice but all burgers . Food arrived quickly was hot and tasty. My only quibble was the portion size of the salad - too small .. the prices were reasonable and you could see the food being prepared. I would recommend

Gourmet Burger Kitchen was a last minute find for us. We truly enjoyed the food. It was so tasty and reasonably priced that we ate there twice. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table.

Ordered a milkshake and their award winning Bruce Leek with a side of chips. All very, very good. The patty was medium, just the way I ordered it. Well seasoned and tender. This place likes spicy flavors and many flavor combinations - which is very welcome. The chili mayo with the chips paired well. The milkshake was nice and thick,... More

Had dinner here, burger was tasty and there were a variety of drinks. There was a Christmas time special too which was good value. Reasonable prices and popular.

taste of the burger was lovely, but the fries were freezing cold by the time i got home and just couldn't go through the hassle of complaining even though i was really hungry and counted on them and they half failed me, and as my friend was the one who recommended them to me, i had a go at her,... Took my family for a quick late lunch and it was more than enough for us. If you want huge plates of fries and burger this is not the place for you. The burgers were cooked to perfection and the sweet potato fries were a delight! I wasn't overly fond of the onion rings as they were a little over... More

Got a basic burger, their homeslaw, and some sweet potato fries. I really enjoyed it all and wish I had room for more when I finished. Burger was delicious. The coleslaw wasn't made with mayonnaise so was light and refreshing. Sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked- nice and crisp.

Being led by trip advisor recommendations this place was a bit of a disappointment with regards to the quality and quantity of the food. Very average burger for a so-called gourmet outlet.

Thank Marcus H

In 2001, three kiwi guys set up the first GBK in Battersea, South London. The philosophy was simple – to create a fresh, quality burger reminiscent of the gourmet burgers they were used to back in New Zealand. They were the first to introduce gourmet burgers to the London market and we still pride ourselves on serving up the freshest burgers; combining 100% prime beef, hand selected and traditionally reared on independent farms across the South West counties, with the freshest ingredients and sauces made from scratch every day in each GBK kitchen. We now have over 80 restaurants from Brighton to Edinburgh.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
