Read about it on a few blogs. Loved the place, still totally a great place to visit. My only thought were that the fish lacked in flavor a little. The chips were amazing, the mushy peas great, and the fish was still cooked perfectly. Also, it is a little hard to see from Oxford St at the moment, there is... More

Conveniently located off Oxford Street, just behind Marks and Spencer. It is a bustling shop offering both takeaways and dining in options. The service was fast and service staff are attentive. The fish was fresh and we loved the home made tartar sauce.

This is simply the best fish and chips bar in London bar none. Amazing portions; triple fried chips; great value for the location. Could not recommend more highly.

Two years ago, I made the trek to Golden Union Fish Bar only to find out that it was closed on Sundays. I was deflated. This time, I made sure to check the opening hours before venturing out. We arrived in the afternoon for a late lunch, ordering the cod and chips and mushy peas. The fish was very fresh... More

Gold union proposes a wide range of fish&chips. The large portions are actually big so choose wisely. You can for example choose a large portions for two persons. The tartare sauce is very good. Prices are regular for the place.

We have been coming here since it opened and the food and service is of a high standard. My favourite is the homemade chicken pie. At lunch time it gets very busy with queues for takeaway going out the door. Whenever my customers ask for traditional fish and chips I send them here.

Thank collel

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
