We had a leaving party of about 20 people and we were looked after by Mariana. She was very attentive and always had a beer in hand when we ran out!! Nothing was too much trouble! She definitely kept the party going and I would certainly want to be in her section when there again. The bar has a great... More

My colleagues and I love Harry's Bar - we dined there today for lunch and as usual, the food and service were exceptional. Using a Tastecard helps with the cost too, but even without that, it's worth it! I can't fault the staff who were attentive and discreet without ever disturbing our lunch/conversation. Highly recommended.

I booked Harry's for my 29th birthday dinner for 8 girls and I. I found Harry's through my Tastecard and was delighted to find out that they offered 50% off the a la carte menu for up to 10 people :) The booking process was easy and the staff I dealt with on the phone and over email were friendly,... We went to a leaving party in the basement of Harry's Bar, just off Cheapside in the City of London. The atmosphere was buzzing and the food and drink were excellent. Service was very attentive; well recommended.

I have been to the bar numerous times as you are guaranteed good quality food as well as a nice atmosphere. It can be rather quiet if you are searching for a more lively setting! I would recommend for dinners where you can talk easily without having to shout over obscenely loud music like other bars. It is set on... More

Wondered why this bar was not as full as others in the area a few days before Christmas. We ordered two gin and tonics from the bar and when the extortionate bill came my friend realised she had paid for and been served doubles. We were never asked if we wanted doubles, We questionned them and they said they only... More

We booked a table for 3 people for my birthday. It was fairly noisy when we arrived, on account of it functioning mostly as a bar in the evening, but one thing I love about this place is the intimate dining area - only a few tables but great service. The noise dies down further into the evening, so if... More

Had a working lunch at Harry's bar; it's a popular and discreet venue near Bank station that is always reliable for good food and service. Recommended definitely, without being overly exciting

Thankfully, this return visit to one of my old favourites found the restaurant almost back to its old high standard. The service is always great here (but you do pay for it!!) but the food was much improved. Phew! We had seared tuna followed by sea bream and it was delicious. Close your eyes when paying the bill here but... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
