Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We happened across this wine bar last Saturday during an impromptu visit to the West End. The service from Cameron was great, the sharing platter of cheeses and meats was amazing value for money and the wine finished lunch off nicely. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend.

I was at their bar on Saturday and it was a very pleasant afternoon with my friends. The waitress Lana gave us very good recommendations for the quality of the wines for each of the tastes of those at the table. The meat and cheese board still makes a good “match” with the quality of the wine recommended. I will surely return with more friends. thank you

My daughter and I enjoyed and drink a sharing plate before a show. We chose to sit outside and the waitress asked if we minded paying up front as outside. We didn’t mind at all as understood people must just walk off. However, she asked us if we’d like to leave a tip. Under pressure I said yes and asked how much the bill was, I added 10%. It was only when I took the print out that I realised she had already added 13% optional service charge. When questioned she said the service charge was shared between all staff and tip was just for her, she didn’t seem to understand that to the customer they are the same! No apology, no offer to rectify. Very cheeky and left bad feeling, hate feeling duped. Shame as otherwise would have been a nice experience.

Food options very basic . Gluten free options even worse. Staff seem not to understand what gluten free is - advised no bread on dish, only to find dish fried in batter. On top of that dish was forgotten and had to be chased twice - by that time the rest had finished. Then the fried courgette (in batter) came out with the batter soggy and not crisp and hanging off. To be fair, they didn’t charge as for that dish, but would have been hard to do so. Other dishes had were also basic and looking at them could have been so much better with a little effort. Sadly considering what great options there are in London and particularly close by, I’d go elsewhere

Called in today for a glass of wine and a bite to eat … as always, received a warm and friendly welcome … on this occasion by the wonderful Olivia. The spicy beef mince on flatbread with yoghurt and secret dressing was brilliant … and the Cotes du Rhone an excellent accompaniment. The atmosphere was calm and cosy. All in all a very nice experience.

I never write reviews but after my visit to the Plume bar I feel compelled to share our experience. Stopped in for a pre-performance glass of wine with my wife, lovely decor good wine and a very helpful Chef called Charlie helped to get our evening started. By the way if Charlie gets to see this, thanks for recommending the burrata, will definitely be in to sample some of those new dishes you mentioned. 10 out of 10!

Pleasant wine bar in a good central location. Nicely decorated with a good choice of seating. Attentive service. Personally, I would have preferred more choice of traditional cocktails on the menu. My friend and I tried 4 different ones which sounded interesting, but we found them all a bit strange and wished we could have ordered something more familiar. They looked very pretty though! We should perhaps have stuck to wine.

You wouldn't believe this little place is right off Covent Garden - it was like stepping into another world: quiet, candlelit, and atmospheric. Friendly and attentive staff, really great value nibbles as well, and very reasonably priced all in all for a few hours spent catching up and forgetting about the world outside. Goes without saying that all the drinks (we tried a variety of wine and cocktails) are outstanding. We were very happy with the time we spent here and would heartily recommend it to others!

Tiny little corner spot in Covent Garden. Great wine list, nibbles and chilled carafe of water. Small menu if you fancy a bite. Really worth visiting but be prepared to pay a 12.5% service charge on even one glass of wine.

We had the best time at Plume! The whole team was great but Gracie in particular took such good care of us. She was very knowledgeable and helped us pick our drinks, which were perfect!! We also had the cheese and charcuterie boards which were amazing! Only downside is that the booking is only 1.5 hours though they let us stay a little bit longer. Loved this bar, loved Gracie’s service and we will definitely be back!

We have gone several times now, we have tried some of the long menu of wines they have. The cheese toasts and the poutine fries are good to try some food and share. For some reason in one of our toasts one half was missing and they brought us an additional entire toast. They prepared a nice terrace and I think they were offering blankets for the night cold. The best part is the staff. They are very friendly and nice!!

After having an amazing meal at a restaurant in Covent Garden we had an hour to kill before heading to the theatre. We saw this quaint wine bar & thought we would have a glass of wine. We ordered two glasses off Sancerre at around £14.50 per glass. That’s absolutely fine! But after paying my bill I discovered a service charge that bought our two glasses of wine £29 … up-to £33.50!!! Wow!! I don’t mind paying this on a restaurant, but to pour two glasses of wine & walk to a table & deliver it for around £4 is an absolute disgrace. I’m still waiting for my refund of my service charge. It’s not even an exclusive wine bar. I hate being ripped off in London. Check your bill before paying for drinks

Have been to Plume several times over the last few months. Lovely atmosphere with great friendly staff (Tom & Connor), terrific wines & amazing cheeseboard. Went recently but it was chaotic. We arrived 5 mins before the booking (made a month ago) which threw the upstairs staff into a state of flux. Quite why was a mystery. We thought we’d made a mistake! We were escorted downstairs to be seated in the alcove area (which is a cool place) only to be told that in 30 mins we’d have to move elsewhere as a large group was expected - remember we’d booked a month back! We ordered wine & cheeseboard and as warned and after our order had arrived, we were then shifted to another table. 30 mins later we were then moved to a third table! If this had been our first visit, we wouldn’t be going back but this was a very strange experience. Afterwards & on reflection, I think on this occasion, they were over- booked which accounted for the chaos!

Walking down Wellington Street and stumbled upon this wonderful wine bar, immediately we were greeted with a warm welcome and seated and served with a smile. Emily & Tori that served us made us feel so welcome and felt at home. Would definitely 💯 return, thank you ladies
