Fantastic way to say goodbye to normal times (again). Lovely Asian food. The Japanese chicken with the yuzu mayonnaise was excellent. Also loved the pork buns. Hopefully we can get another meal in December....

I wish I could write a more positive review about this place, as I've been in a couple of times for drinks, but I recently had a pretty negative experience. I visited at about 2pm on 30th November and ordered some drinks, all fine -...good selection of beers. We also ordered food - nothing fancy, just some chips and snacks. The chips took 45 minutes to come, really unimpressed. Queried with a member of bar staff and got no apology, chips took another 5 mins to come. Clearly they forgot? Also £3.50 is a complete rip off for what we got, I'm used to paying London prices but this really wasn't great. Will be back for a pint, but would give the food a miss!More
Thanks for your review! We can only apologise about the long wait, and am happy to buy you a pint next time you come in. It was a very busy Saturday and yes we slipped up your order sorry. Regarding portion size we agree, Carcass...More

Amazing pub, Amazing service, Amazing food and the best beer selection. Love this place. Best pub....ever!
Thanks a lot for the amazing review x
I met up with literally long lost cousins and we couldn't have been in a better place for a long chat after having walked through Victoria Park. It felt I was In a traditional pub with a quirky, artistic twist. The Ipa was excellent- a...mixture of fruity and bitter and I was surprised when my cousin ordered a rhubarb cider. I haven't lived In the UK for a very long time- his drink looked so artisan-with little chunks of actual rhubarb floating around his glass!More
Thanks Eddie your welcome back any time:)
Popped in here for some Sunday morning bloody Marys. Well, it opens at 12 so technical afternoon. Very well made and spicy as requested. Also decided to have a Sunday roast as we've eaten here before and it was very good. Just as good this...time - see photo. Finally, the service is also great - the guy behind the bar is always checking around to make sure everyone has what they need. Recommended.More
Thanks for your lovely words John it means a lot:)
The Kenton was recommended to me by a local bartender. He suggested I go by for the slow roast. OMG! It was delicious. It was def the best thing I ate during my time in London. Just beware, you may want to nap after. Also,...show up early or make a reservationMore
Thanks for your kind words Steven :)
Great Sunday roasts at the Kenton . Puddings are yummy too! Really warm and cosy. Lovely crowd. Kid friendly AND dog friendly!
After playing football I came here with some friends. I wanted a couple beers and a roast - they have good deals so why not? I ordered my food and waited, for almost 2 hours til it arrived. After the first hour I was getting...a bit wary, I noticed other tables getting there’s, but not me. The staff came to me twice, both times stating I hadn’t payed for my meal (which I did) and then the manager insulted me because I wanted a beer for the wait. By then it had been 1.30hrs and I was getting impatient. It ended with me getting my food after a long wait. Seriously not coming back here for food - awful service, crazy long wait, very rude staff that blames customers for their own faults. Food was ite tho. Manager was foul mouthed and blamed the client for their mistakes...More
Hello Charles and thanks for your feedback. We are terribly sorry that you had to experience this. It was a mad Sunday with England playing the rugby, so we were a lot busier than normal which slowed service down, plus we have just had a...More
We went here with family as visitors. They had been before. The staff and manager ( woman) were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The food was probably the best pub food I've tasted - Sunday roasts - and exceptionally generous portions. The cauliflower cheese (...with mustard in sauce was devine.) Great range of beers too. Perhaps greater range of bottled Norwegian beers given Norwegian theme( owner). Will definitely come back. Such fun.More
Had a Sunday roast at the Kenton yesterday, our first time there, but won’t be our last. We both had the pork which was just delicious and had been prepared and seasoned beautifully with very little fat. Vegetables were carrots, kale and braised red cabbage...and the gravy was good and plentiful (important!). Oh, and the apple sauce - really tangy and fresh. Friendly staff and a nice warm, cosy place for a grey and cold Sunday. We got lucky and managed to get a walk in- but we will definitely book several days in advance in future. Only slight downside is that some tables aren’t the easiest to eat from, but I’m sure if you book in advance you could make sure you get a good one. Have already been on to friends to persuade them to come next time!More
I always go to the Kenton when I come to London to visit my partner. This is one of my favorite pubs in London. It's literally one of the most chill, easygoing spots in London. The drinks are great, and not expensive, and the staff...is really friendly. I reserved a space there this past weekend for my partner's birthday. Booking was very easy and the staff was very accommodating to everyone. (This seems to be an "everyone is welcome" space. My friends and I go there very often and have never experienced any form of homophobia, trans phobia, racial discrimination, etc.) Speaking of the spaces, the place, though small and cozy, still manages to seem huge with all of the different rooms/options they have. It's an amazing place to hold a small or mid sized party/get together of any kind. I definitely, one hundred and fifty percent recommend the Kenton.More
What a great atmosphere in here, myself and my daughter called for a drink and was blown away it was amazing. We didn't have the roast but to be honest I wish I hadn't eaten earlier it looked fantastic will deffo eat here next time
Great place with excellent food. Definately a place to try out in Hackney. And do not go there without trying the kona big wave beer.
