A must visit on a hot day in London. Good beers, long waits to get served at the bar but still worth it. Excellent chips and scotch eggs.

I think your staff need to learn about everyday sexism - and why are your black wait staff only in the garden?

Food and drinks: good selection of wines and beers although an USA on the draft was missing. Food wise, the menu is a typical pub menu with a stylish touch. My rissoto was good although nothing super special. Premises: great premises, specially outdoors with a great terrace. Price: decent pricing. Risotto was around £12. As always, wine was the expensive... More

My girlfriend and I visited on Sunday 9 April, the hottest day of the year so far. We arrived at 5.30pm for roast dinner and a beer in the sun. We were fortunate to find a table outside, albeit in the shade. I queued at the bar for 30 minutes to order 2 x roast dinners and 2 beers. This... More

Dear guest, I apologise if the wait at the bar was longer than usual, I had 4 members of staff behind the bar all day, any more than this because of the size of the bar it would slow service down, but it was a exceptionally busy day. We do have a garden bar that will be in use shorty,... More

I have been going there for quite a while and it is always nice to stop by and sit outdoor to have a refreshment after a long walk in one of the best park in london(the heat ) Good selection of beers and nice food but it gets very busy because of its location. The staff is friendly. I recommend... More

The Spaniards is my favourite pub in London and I've been to a few. I might be a little biased as I live a short walk through the woods away, but this place has about everything you could want from an English pub in London. It was built hundreds of years ago and was reportedly frequented by Keats and Dickens.... More

This is definitely a destination for a sunny day. Big garden area to sit in. Lots of families, nice atmosphere. Food is average.

My partner and I came here on a Sunday in April when it was nice weather, but already had a table booked in the bar area. We were quickly seated to our table. The pub looks great inside and had a really good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and quick to take our orders. Between us we had the scallop... More

Fantastic historical pub with an old pub feel. The Sunday roast was delicious and there was also plenty of variety on the menu. Prices were reasonable and service was good.

I went here in February for Sunday lunch with my family. The service and food was excellent and the pub has so much history and it's nice to see that they haven't spoilt the interior by modernising it. I'd recouping book as it was very busy.

Description
Dating back to the 1500s and one of London's oldest pubs, The Spaniards has been immortalised in various works of literature, and was frequented by historic figures including John Keats. Indoors, a charming yesteryear vibe sees mismatched furnishings, weathered wood panelling and leather-bound books dotted throughout, while a canopy-sheltered terrace immerses diners in Hampstead's lush, green landscape. Enjoy speciality beers, fine wines and a gourmet twist on pub favourites, all in a relaxed, homely setting.
