We had a meal at this hotel and the food and service were quite good. Enough choices to please everyone, and reasonable prices.

We've stayed in a nearby hotel for three nights and on the first we've chosen sawyers arms to have a couple of beers. We've ended up going there the next two. It has a nice atmosphere. British pub maybe with a little more light. Nice friendly environment. Friendlier than the posh London's centre pubs. Friendly smiling staff.

A comfortable local pub with good atmosphere. Didn't eat there, but the menu was interesting and reasonably priced.

Very pleasant pub food, a good choice of drinks and a pleasant atmosphere. An added bonus was that, although it was December when I went, the pub was not fully of loud office Christmas parties.

The waitress asked me what wine I wanted so of the ones she mentioned I asked for a large Malbec and was charged £12.45...she said I hadn't chosen the right wine and I said... More

Excellent pub grub. Wide choice of food on the menu and is nicely presented and reasonably priced. Good selection of beers and wines. Traditional Sunday lunches are good value.

Their fish and chips is heavenly. Top that with a large pint of Stella Artois and your evening is made. 3 cheers to the beautiful girl behind the counter who miraculously pulled out a chair for me in the middle of a crowded pub.
