Night brunch visit

We visited recently with a group of 16 friends for the night brunch experience… from the start the manager of “sintillate” was hideous. Not professional at all, we arrived literally 6 minutes early, and he was heard saying about making us wait as we’re “early” ..was massively let down by the staff. We had 1 waitress too 17 people, she didn’t understand much of what we was asking her.. when booking through email he said they accommodated for gluten free and vegan, but they literally only offered 1 dish that had both and that was a cheese board.. our mains were not nice atall, was like school dinners .. when I spoke too the waitress and said can we talk too this manager, I was literally grabbed by the arm whilst dancing and pulled out of my group of friends too talk too the manager, who was literally the rudest person!! No face mask worn by any staff.. it’s a shame becus the actual venue is nice and the DJ was great!! But massively let down by the staff and food …

My boyfriend took me here for cocktails before we went for my birthday dinner. We arrived at our reservation time and took the lift up to the rooftop. First impressions were good, nice decor and incredible views. Unfortunately this is where it ended. Service was incredibly slow despite it only being us, another couple (who subsequently left as they had been waiting over 20 mins for their drinks) and a group of 8 situated at the other end of the bar. It took a while for someone to take our order and we had an incredible wait (30 mins) to receive our drinks which in all honesty weren’t that nice and overpriced for what we got - i guess your paying a premium for the view! The waiter did apologise for the delay but given how empty it was we were unsure as to why the service was so slow. Would not recommend and would not return.

Nice experience, but..

Really nice view and restaurant, but a few things were just a bit off. We ordered 7 appetisers, but only 6 came, so we asked the waiter to check that. When he never came back with it, we just left it and when the main came we asked the waiter to make sure that the calamari were taken off the bill since they never came. The waiter looked at me like he had no idea what I was talking about, but agreed. When the bill came, the calamari were there. I had to ask him to take it off the bill, and he never apologised for any of this. And then, when it came to split the bill, the waiter tried to round it so that we would pay slightly more. Not very nice. Apart from this, food was really good, cocktails were to die for, and of course the view! Bathrooms are very clean too.

Booked brunch on Saturday for 3 people at 15:00. Not a big place, slightly decorated to give a sense of summer garden, located on the 10th floor which did provide a view of London but nothing special. We ordered main courses together however only 2 arrived, our friend received her main course 15 minutes later after we had both finished. The waiter didn't apologize for the delay and explained it was a confusion with the order and we will have to wait till they finish another table of 8 before they can make our missing order, I found this excuse completely unacceptable. Don’t order the beef salad, it cost £15 and the potion is so small, and the dish standard is so poor. The same thing happened with our dessert, we order 3 and only 2 came but this time it was a slight improvement, I only had to wait few minutes. This delayed chocolate brownie on the other hand looked different from our other chocolate brownie, the size was a lot smaller and the lob of ice cream had already fallen from brownie itself. We even had an issue with our coffee order after desert. The waiters decided to take away the sugar pot just as we made the coffee orders, so we had to ask for sugar again when we received our coffee. I spoke to the manager about our experience, but she seemed to care little. She offered us a 50% discount (seem like they do this is a lot) and left, another wait came later to settle our bill. It seemed the manager was trying to avoid us after providing us with the discount. Overall this is the worst experience I had in London and definitely will not go again, even with the 50% our bill was £49.50 which definitely not worth the money.

Complete shambles

We made a reservation for three of us to enjoy what we believed to be a classy drink. We were greeted at what looked like the door to a strip club by a pair of brusque gentlemen who ushered us past several two foot tall plastic rabbits into what looked like a service lift. We ascended and were greeted by no one, we approached the bar to attempt to get someone’s attention. The place was half full at most and yet when we were finally shown to a table our order wasn’t taken until about fifteen minutes later when we flagged down a passing waiter. We then sat surrounded by 19 year olds dressed in jersey fabric spending the majority of their time taking selfies as we waited over half an hour, did not receive our order, and decided to leave. Unless you are under 21, have a penchant for nude fabric and an exposed lower rib cage and a distinct lack of expectation when it comes to service, I would give this a miss. Very disappointing.

Don’t bother

Was looking for lots of places to eat to show some friends around London who were visiting, and thought a nice rooftop bar would be nice…WRONG. Firstly, the bouncers looked dodgy and our reservation was not on his clipboard. After finally finding it, we went up the lift which fits a small child. Got upstairs to be seated at a table, in a nutshell, it took 20 mins just order drinks, got them another 25 mins later…and they were wrong, with a very arrogant bar tender saying ‘these ones will be better anyway’. Then over an hour until our food came, about 75% of the food was not worth it, so bland and no flavour. How it took over an hour to get some bread and olive oil I’ll never know. It was so poorly managed that the chef came out and started serving tables! Then asked for our receipt, they tired to charge us an extra £5 for a dish that wasn’t that price….so if you do brave this place check your receipt! And as someone else on this page says, unless you’re under 21, have money and time to waste, this is right up your street :)

AWFUL. The restaurant was really difficult to find no signage anywhere. we get in there and were greeted well, but then just told to basically sit anywhere. we got our cocktails really quick (they were really weak and crazy overpriced, my Italian girlfriend was fuming with the aperol spritz) but then didn't get to order for like 40 minutes after. Our food took even longer than it took to order, and when it came it was really bland (I was a professional chef for 6 years and this food was apprentice level at best). You pay for the rooftop view and nothing else, its a great menu that's been poorly executed, pretentious staff and atmosphere and just really not worth the visit too, save yourself some time and don't even bother coming here.

Booked here for a nice valentines meal with my girlfriend & the experience from start to finish was very unpleasant. We asked to move when we were seated to a table with a better view of the city, which we were told wasn’t possible. The next 2 couples to be seated after us were moved with no questions asked. Onto the food…. We included a gluten allergy in the booking, which wasn’t acknowledged when mentioned upon ordering and being served. The food was below average, which was apparent by the displeased look and reluctance to finish the meal by other tables. The desserts were room temperature at best, not what you want for a pana cotta and tiramisu. Not worth the £45 a head for 2 courses, have paid much less and been more than impressed elsewhere. Don’t get lured in by the photos on Instagram, the seating felt like a canteen and the atmosphere was cold. Definitely just a money maker for tourists and won’t be returning.

Best Party Brunch in London

I went to Garden Rooftop on Saturday for Sintillate's brunch and we all had the best time! THe views are amazing and the atmosphere was so good! It was nice to be in an environemnt that seemed to welcome guests of such differing ages and the music was amazing. The sax guy made our birthday and whilst the food wasn't michelin starred, it was great value for what we paid for the whole experience. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone!

The purpose of going to a bottomless brunch was completely annihilated by the shire lack of atmosphere from this venue. On arrival the hostesses were plesent. But very under staffed. We were quickly given our inadequate starters. After arrival of our first dish we waited another 90mins for our mains which presented themselves as well rested and cold. In the interim of this our party engaged in 3 drinks each much to the disappointment of trying to grab our hosts attention they were much more occupied in taking photos of the next up and and coming love island content. There was a strange male presence from the dj booth that not only came across as predatorial but also a little creepy. The only male management continued to stand in force and glere at ever guest.. On approaching management regarding the lack of bottomless they were rude and disappointing in there hanging of the complaint. There was no atmosphere and there was no bottomless brunch. We was warned on arrival by people leaving the venue. Let down !!!!

Worst experience and brunch

Extremely Disappointing!! Not worth the 1 star. After 3 weeks of constant communication with the Sintillate event planners and pre drinks at LSQ rooftop we arrived at Garden Rooftop with high expectations for brunch to celebrate my birthday only for the mood to be ruined from the get go. For a rooftop advertising panoramic skyline views of central London you could imagine our shock horror when we were seated in a corner of the restaurant facing a wall completely segregated from the rest of the venue. "Maybe us brown girls didn't meet the right Instagram influencer aesthetic the venue wanted to promote" To make matters worse we tried to address our concerns with the event managers to be further disrespected by their sarcastic comments and undermining offer of a shot! With a take it or leave it attitude! After this we tried to rise above and enjoy each others company however this downwards spiral did not stop. They got our food order wrong, the food tasted like crap and then they tried to over charge us! Ending our night with a member of our group crying because she felt so belittled and disrespected by the treatment and experience. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place especially if you are a person of colour!

Good service, but poor food and decor

Service was excellent - Zoltan really looked after us. The non-alcoholic cocktail was lovely. I have been before and I know the views over the City and Westminster are great. That's all I can think of for positives. No toilet paper. Really tatty decor. Whoever cooked my salty seafood risotto doesn't understand how to present food and £12.50 for a small tapas portion is just silly. Far too expensive for what you get.

Bad food

I went with a friend here for a bottomless brucnh and was thoroughly disappointed. It was the more expensive option out of the places we considered but the quailty of food was on the same level as a wetherspoons, below even. My pesto pasta, outside of being overcooked, was obviously left under a heat lamp of some kind, it had dried and become an incredibly unpleasant texture. Pesto was like out of a jar. It was the only veggie option. Also the portion size was tiny. My friend order the half rotissary chicken and roast poatatoes and it came out with chips instead. We insisted that we get the potatoes. Looking back I really wish we had complained and refused the food but we had not other option for brunch. Staff were nice but for the cost of what we paid and the food we got I feel cheated and ripped off.

Cocktails and drinks

Went for my 22nd birthday drinks ! Just wanted a nice couple of drinks with a nice view. However we had my elderly nan with me and when asking not to be sat on a high top table, as hard for her to get up and down. We were told what specific tables we could sit at and if we wanted to sit anywhere else we had to by £10-40 worth of food. None of this was stated on the website and bear in mind, the place was empty as it was 4pm so not as though the tables were needed elsewhere. Additionally I think I wouldn’t have minded so much if the waiter was polite about it, unfortunately he came across in a very rude way. However I must say the waiter we had Emre was so lovely was more than happy to give recommendations and the drinks were very nice - really turned the experience around. Just ashame that the other waiter had to have such poor customer service skills ! My impression from working in customer service you have to go above and beyond for the customers, this was definitely not shown initially !

Worst service I have ever experienced

I wish I could be writing a better review, as the view is stunning and this place seems to have a lot of potential. Unfortunately my whole party was overwhelming disappointed by the service. We ordered cocktails, saw a waiter with our cocktails go around to every table except ours to see who’s it was and then returned it to the bar. We only received them an hour after ordering it and only from asking the waiter to update us on the drinks. Staff seemed so unsure and untrained when we asked questions about the menu and overall the service was just horrible. I hate to say it but it was probably the worst service I have ever experienced. Tables around us were making similar comments about the service…we heard one table complaining how they never received cutlery for their dinner that was delivered to their table 30 minutes prior….This is because the staff is so inattentive. I can count on 1 hand how many times we saw our waiter during a 2 hour meal. The food and view were great but the service was so bad that it doesn’t even balance it out.
