Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staying at the nearby Blandford Hotel we called here for an evening meal. The welcome that we received made it feel that we had been coming here for years. Food was excellent. The sirloin steak an amazing cut of meat. Lamb chops (4). Recommend sharing the vegetables rather than having individual portions unless really hungry. Not cheap though with a 12.5% service charge came out an average of £65 per person

First of all, I want to comment on the standard of service I experienced at the AOK. It was exceptional! From the wonderfully friendly greeting by the Maitre'D and subsequently, by all of the staff, I was made to feel like an old friend returning to a regular haunt rather than, as was the case, my first time at this establishment. Service was quiet, relaxed, unobtrusive and yet always attentive. I cannot commend the staff of the OAK enough.
The AOK has to be one of the most beautiful restaurants in London. Take a look at their website and you'll get a good idea of what I mean. It is absolutely stunning!
I dined with my oldest friend who I hadn't seen for over a year and who had just flown in from Taiwan. We had so much to talk about, but our servers never made us feel rushed, or pushed us to make our selection from the menu. As for the food, it was delicious!
I started off with a wonderful Vodka Martini, just how I love them. And, it wasn't one of those tiny glasses so many establishments in London now give one when drinking a Martini, it was a big, traditional glass that did justice to the cocktail which had been so expertly created.
We consumed the following: pumpkin soup; Sea Bass ceviche; Gnocchi; BBQ Aubergine with sweet potato mash. We washed this down with several glasses of excellent Assytiko; water; a Tumeric coffee and peppermint tea. The bill came to £142, inc tip. That is very good value for a restaurant of this quality in central London. Needless, to say, I will be returning quite soon.

Me & a friend visited last week, slightly disappointed not to be in the main part of the restaurant which is beautifully decorated and buzzy, but there was a private function happening so couldn't be helped.
The Loos are situated downstairs & could do with an update or at the very least be monitored throughout the evening. Bins were overflowing & one of the toilet seats was hanging off & with only two available downstairs we decided to use the disabled one upstairs after as it was certainly cleaner.
We ordered a couple of cocktails to start which were really good. The menu is lovely & not too overloaded with items. We both chose the Gnocchi with Truffle and Parmesan & the charred Broccolini, our waiter seemed to think that wouldn't be enough (always a bit of a worry considering the prices) so we also went for side of Beef Bacon and new roasted potatoes, the waiting time was perfect & gave us time to catch up & enjoy our cocktails. When our meals were delivered my friends gnocchi was absent, when she queried this our server seemed confused & said he would order another plate, unfortunately this took some time & meant that my meal was pretty much cold by the time hers arrived, a little annoying & no apology was offered so I can only presume the server hadn't taken down her order in the first place. That was the only slip up however & the meal itself was stunning, fantastic flavours, well presented & although when the plates first arrived the portions seem a little on the small side, it was all actually more than enough & we thoroughly enjoyed it all.
2 lovely bottles of Viognier, one enjoyed outside on their terrace finished off the evening perfectly.
Overall I would highly recommend A.O.K their menu is really good with a plethora of choices without being overwhelming & they also offer a great allergy guide which is always helpful. We will certainly return.

Good food but really poorly organised. We booked online as we were encouraged by the continued eat out to help out campaign during September and we wanted to support local business having one of our own in the area too. We enjoyed a lovely meal this evening and the food was delicious, however when our bill arrived, no sign of the discount mentioned on their website. When I questioned this the waiter remonstrated for at least 5 minutes that we needed to book exactly on the link on their website to generate a code, i was already embarrassed as there were other guests around and he made quite a fuss. I do feel that this restaurant shouldn’t advertise this offer if they are going to make booking confusing as they also offer Opentable booking. Any good business would literally discount anyway rather than cause embarrassment to guests, especially guests they know have businesses in the area and are likely to give a review and also possibly (if the experience had been 5 star) refer their clients to, which we usually do with Chiltern Firehouse. Nice food and atmosphere but let down in the service unfortunately and therefore only gets my one start vote. Sorry AOK for the sake of £20 you lost a possible returning client who was even thinking of inviting friends there for a birthday get together. Chiltern Firehouse for this next time. Also by the apparent indifference with which they treat anyone giving google reviews I’m not expecting any kind of response, however readers be warned, style over substance.

Just fresh from our first visit here at AOK, all I can say is it was such a pleasant time and experience! We went as a walk-in and we greeted by the friendly staff, there were a couple of tables outside and furthermore inside, we sat indoors as it was a bit windy. We started off with a very tasty greek salad, followed by Tiger prawns and Honey roasted salmon, the food was delicious/very tasty and the portions were ok. Drinks were a bit average as we tried Virgin watermelon mojitos. If you love ice cream, you have to try their homemade one, it tasted amazing and you barely can taste the sugar!! I would like to thank our nice and friendly attendant " Chiara" who was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a nice apple crumble to my wife.

We went for lunch, and honestly the whole experience is worth it! A complimentary Prosecco upon arrival was waiting for us from Stefano the bar tender and the Maître d' Emiliano spent the time to go through the menu with us, and recommend dishes according to what we were looking for.
We will 100% come back, the food was delicious and the ambience of the restaurant is calm and peaceful. Thank you!!

My partner brought me here for a birthday lunch.
This was one of the easiest restaurants i have been to, to dine in with food intolerances 👍🏽
Everything on the menu can be made gluten free, nothing is to much to ask, the food was delicious!
The happy birthday plate was a lovely touch also! Thank you.
We were definitely impressed and will be returning.

We made a reservation and asked for a table outside. They told us to seat inside and wait 10 minutes. We said we would wait to seat outside. We were then waiting for 30 minutes and when we asked it we would soon seat, the managwr replied very rudely, “how many times will you ask”. We then asked for extra 3 eggs with our avocado toast and were brought side very scrambled egg and had to pay 9 for each , as we were told 3 eggs were used for each. Manager also kept giving us the worst attitude ever when we were nothing but polite. Horrible experience would not recon entirely to anyone.

Went with family for breakfast, ordered regular omelette and egg white omelette and shakshoka. For taste was average accept the shakshoka was below average. Hot chocolate was really thick.
However, juices were really fresh. Staff was very friendly and the resturant decoration was really nice.

Came here for date night. Really nice ambience and service.
Best food I have eaten out in a very very long time.. Padron peppers to start, then had salmon and chicken for mains, chargrilled broccolini, and chocolate praline dessert.
My girlfriend said it was the best salmon she’d ever eaten and still raves about it to her friends ha
Great choice for a special night out

My first time at A.O.K kitchen
I had a cobb salad with the most tender chicken ever, the dressing was perfect. My daughter had a delicious pasta with mushrooms. The service was very friendly and nice atmosphere.
Definitely I will go back!

The pancakes are delicious and were served hot, but the overall experience was spoiled because the waiter and maître d asked us from our table back promptly after 2 hours in a manner that we felt was distasteful. We get it. You need the table back for other bookings as it’s a small venue. But they should consider mentioning it when customers arrive so people remember, otherwise it’s easy to forget and it’s off putting to suddenly be told when you don’t feel ready to leave or maybe you wanted fo order something else.

I was lucky enough to be invited to AOK by business colleagues, but I will be back both on business and with my family. The gnocchi dish was quite simply the best I have ever had, and unusually we took the pancake desert, with fresh berries, coconut cream and maple syrup. Wow.
The service was heartfelt, attentive, genuine- from all staff. Clearly a happy top performing team and a gem of a find. Thanks so much all at AOK, you made my day. Can’t wait to bring my foodie husband at the next opportunity.

We visited to celebrate my girlfriends birthday and to the credit of the staff; everyone was so attentive and accommodating to our allergy requirements. Domenica though deserves a special mention, she was so lovely and helpful with menu choices. She truly cares about the customer experience and went above and beyond to deliver. I don't usually write reviews, but Domenica deserves praise for her commitment to customer satisfaction. Thank you!

I visited A.O.K kitchen with my husband and parents. As a booking, we're more difficult than most as we have dietary requirements and intolerances.
A.O.K kitchen made the visit completely hassle free. There were no issues, no concerns, everything was considered, we felt we were being advised with confidence and consideration.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the care and attention provided by the excellent Maître d' - Karim. Karim is an absolute joy - friendly, attentive, and takes great pride in the service offered and experienced by any of their guests. Karim is an asset to this restaurant and adds tremendous value to the dining experience.
I couldn't recommend this restaurant more and we will definitely be visiting again.

Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
