We have a great evening. All the food was lovely - their signature dish (Iberico pork pluma) was to die for. It would get 5 stars if: - It didn't have an extremely limited wine list (4 choices of white, 4 of red - none...of them outstanding). - It wasn't so very cosy - we had a table for 6, and 2 people dropped out. We tried to change the reservation but couldn't get through. Had we all been there, it'd have been uncomfortably tight. - They had run out of 2 out of the 4 starters we ordered. Considering it was 8.30pm on a Sat evening, I'd expect better planning.More

Absolutely stunning. Beautiful atmosphere, amazing food. Highlights for us were the prawn tempura rolls and the lamb breast skewers. The cocktails were lovely too, we had caipirinhas, strawberry and passion fruit. A big shout out to Rianna too, whose service was just as brilliant as...the food. Really really nice conversations with her, engaging, friendly and informative about the menu too.More

We actually visited in August but I had forgotten to review. We had the tasting menu. I tried sushi for the first time and liked some of it. The dishes were all lovely. My daughter had the cod main and I had the beef. Off...we came again we would just have a variety of small plates. Found the service lacking. Struggled at times to get attention. The chef at the end was awesome to watch in action.More

The food was very good. However the service and attitude of staff (in particular manager) was subject to improvement. Be warned that the staff are very precise with their booking times. We arrived on time and were seated. Allocated 1hr 30 to order, eat and...leave. About an hour into the meal, the manager informed us he had another booking for our table and we needed to hurry up with our eating. At this point, our main course was yet to arrive at the table but we were still being hurried along, the manager suggested when it did arrived we could use takeaway boxes to eat it elsewhere. When the food did arrive, we again were hurried by the manager. I don’t think i’ve ever been to a restaurant where they are keen for you to leave without eating. The beef tataki and steak were delicious. Waiters were very pleasant and friendly but the manager was rude and lacked customer service skills. overall good food, very bad serviceMore

I found out about Robata while trying to look for lovely/affordable restaurants to take my partner to for our anniversary and his birthday. When we got there I believed that the restaurant would be overlooked as it is hidden away. I'm so glad I chose...to go there as it was fantastic. The food was amazing, the prices are really good especially with it being in the middle of Soho. The Japanese fried chicken bao buns were definitely my favourite and my partner said it was the best scallops he's ever had. I will 100% be going back and I suggest you do too.More

This Japanese restaurant is smaller and offers some very cute indoor tables. The menu has a good selection of diverse choices. Including vegetarian options. The ingredients were very fresh and beautifully prepared. I tried 5 different items and all were very good. I also found...the prices to be reasonable. I would suggest making a reservation! I left with that good and pleased feeling! Recommended!!More

A small Japanese restaurant on a busy street in Soho, this place was packed to rafter when we visited on an early Saturday evening – you will need to book ahead. Here, the open charcoal grill is king, although they did offer up some very...decent sashimi as well. The menu is made up of small plates and is very much designed for sharing. It is not often that every dish hits the mark, but they certainly did here – each dish was faultless. We were hungry and so ordered 6 dishes between the two of us, and we left feeling very full indeed ! The deluxe sashimi set and California roll arrived first, and these were super fresh and expertly presented – loved the addition of the yuzu mayo on the roll. This was followed by the kimchi gyoza (just the right amount of spice) and the King Oyster Mushroom skewers, which were grilled perfectly and the smoky chipotle glaze was sublime. We finished on the Soft-Shell Crab Bao and the Miso Aubergine which was meltingly soft with a rich umami flavour. On a par with the amazing food, was the cocktails – we particularly loved their Japanese take on the Pisco Sour. Overall cannot fault this place and would return in a heartbeatMore
