What I really like about this "Picollo", but beautifully formed Italian restaurant is the size of the menu or the lack of its size, this is always a good thing meaning that the food will be fresh and not out of the freezer and I can personally say that it has always been fresh and beautifully cooked. The service is... More

We were also staying at the Grange Rochester and are here on the 10th. The manager and waitress were both very friendly. Had Bruschetta to start, which was fine but the crab ravioli main was delicious. The portions aren't massive, which some people may be disappointed by, but it suits us. It left room for a chocolate cake that was... More

Excellent food; friendly, older, knowledgeable, personal service; and reasonable prices. Manager/owner chose appropriate wines and recommended dishes that made the evening easy.

I went to this Italian restaurant with my work colleagues for lunch. I love Italian food as well as most of my colleagues however we all felt the food was tasteless and average. I normally like to discover restaurants and to come back, however I don't intend to come back very soon at this one...

Went here with my boyfriend, did not plan to go here. it was a great experience. the atmosphere is classic "family business" italian. the guys running the place made us feel at home, all went smoothly, and the food was good. really reccommend you to go here. we ate three courses each, with wine and beer and the total was... A small Italian restaurant worth a visit but do not expect large portions or complimentary bread. The salad starter was pleasant but run of the mill. The main course was a small portion and it looked like this was the order of the day when surveying other diners plates. There was a good selection of desserts and wines, no top... More

The restaurant has very peaceful and friendly atmosphere. The service is first class. The manager suggested the daily specials and that made my selection easy. The food was delicious and portion sizes just right. This is a place I know I will go back to time and time again.

My family and I traveled to Rome, Venice, Paris, London and Ireland. This is the BEST restaurant we went to during the whole trip! Everything was delicious and the owners- the "2 friends" :) were very hospitable and made us feel very comfortable. We were in London for 5 days and went here every night for dinner! Yummy!

I had a bruschetta prosciutto which was fairly mediocre followed by penne al pesto which was delicious. The pasta was al dente and with plenty of flavour. I was a little disappointed that an automatic 12.5% service charge was added to the bill.

Description
Leading the way in the regeneration of Pimlicos dining scene, 2 Amici is a modern Italian conveniently located a short meander from Londons Victoria Station. You wont walk straight past this restaurant, thanks to the huge neon-lit sign marking its position but venture inside and youll find something much less overblown. In fact, the dining room is charmingly neutral, modern but unpretentious, lit with a warm yellow glow and with a cosy and friendly feel helped along by pleasantly professional staff a very welcome change from Victorias many impersonal chains. The menu here at 2 Amici is typically Italian, many dishes given modern twists while others maintain their traditional roots, meaning that every taste really is catered for. The freshly prepared food is consistently marked out as the best in the area by local diners and the wine list is reliably varied, featuring a number of quality all rounders. Little touches such as the glass of Limoncello with your bill give 2 Amici the personality that turns it from a give-it-a-try one off to a regular haunt.

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
