My wife and I were on our first visit to London from the United States. On 11/26/16 we were touring all day in London and were dropped off for a lunch break at Trafalgar Square. We came upon Garfunkel's and had a wonderful experience. Our mobile phones batteries were dead and we needed to re charge. The staff at Garfunkel's... More

Was looking for somewhere to eat after a day sight seeing, when we came across Garfunkels. It was busy and buzzing, we had to wait about 10 mins for a table. Service was friendly and swift but did not feel under pressure to order/eat quickly. Prices were good for central London. The menu was varied and portions of a good... More

This restaurant buzzes with activity. The Service is quick and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The prices are reasonable and there is a good variety of food. It is sited near theatres so is convenient to visit when going to see a show afterwards. It is near Leicester Square so is very centrally and well located.

Food was alright but warm, not hot. Slow service and the most awful toilets I have ever used in a restaurant. Won't be back.

It's a very nice place if you're after a quick bite or a drink. They have some nice bottled bear and fish n chips. Their pasta is alright. The service is quite good. The value is good! Worth visiting if you'd like to eat in a nice place and then continue your day walking/shopping etc.

Went here last night as we were in London looking at the Xmas lights. Was very disappointed in the size of the starters considering they were rather expensive. I had the 'garlic bread' well never have had garlic bread like it!!! Looked like a slice of pitta bread and came with a pot of runny garlicky butter! The boys shared... More

Came with a group of friends, was forced to order minutes into the reservation, even though not all our party had arrived. Was forced to order because of a reservation in an hour, even though the restaurant was EMPTY. (For a reason, may I add). Was unsatisfied with their food too, but their service was most appalling. Rude confrontation with... More

We walked over to Leicester Square from the theatre for a late night bite. The menu is pretty standard but what we ate was just what we wanted. Service was quick enough. We tried to get in TGI but there was a wait for food, so it was good to go somewhere close where we didn't have to wait.

My husband and I visit here whenever we go to a West End show if it's in this area. The staff are friendly, the menu varied, the price reasonable, the food is tasty for the price. They also deal well with my husband's dairy allergy. We usually try to visit at about 5pm to get a decent table before it... More

Been in London for few days now and hadn't had the chance to sit for a proper breakfast, since running after site seeing adventures, so this time we had a bit of a time, and chose the english breakfast. I was pleasantly surprized. The food was good, the place was nice, the staff were attentive. I recommend.

Description
It's just been announced that we've made the shortlist for the top 3 businesses in the Best Multiple Foodservice Operator Award, as part of the 2015 National Fish & Chip Awards. Our Fish & Chips are a true British classic, made with our very own London Pride beer batter and served with a generous helping of chunky chips. So if you haven't been in to try them, now is your chance... They are soon to be award winning (well, fingers crossed!).

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
