When it comes to private hire, we have built our reputation on our accommodating service, great homemade food, quality DJ’s and relaxed atmosphere. The Terrace Room proved to be the perfect location for my birthday party for around 50 people. All my guests were stunned by the venue and the wonderful staff who were so efficient, friendly and happy. I chose to create three cocktails for the evening. All the ingredients were supplied exactly as requested and the fabulous Ollie was entertaining and absolutely brilliant at making them in what seemed like a never-ending supply. He also meticulously checked with me on everything, but also let the evening flow. What an asset he was along with his female assistant; a lovely lady from Slovenia. The kitchen staff worked wonders on supplying the canapes which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The music was easy to set up and the terrace itself was perfect for a warm summer’s evening. Can’t recommend too highly everything about this place and Luke’s ability to deliver the goods. Brilliant.

The Chapel Bar was the perfect choice for our running club party which I organised in July 2023. We booked the whole venue for around 120 people and it worked really well - everyone loved the variety of different spaces with the outdoor terrace, upstairs and downstairs bar, and dance floor. We pre-ordered some canapés and the BBQ menu, which was ideal for our group. The venue staff were very friendly and accommodating, and were particularly good at organising the alternative menu options for people in our group with dietary requirements. The bar is well-stocked with a great selection of cocktails, shots and other drinks, the pricing is reasonable for central London, and overall the venue offers a fun atmosphere for this type of private event. I received lots of positive feedback from the guests and would definitely recommend for similar parties!

We had our wedding party at The Chapel Bar and it was amazing! The design of the venue was exactly what we envisaged – lots of space but with an intimate feel. 2 floors, with 1 bar on each, plenty of space for chatting and relaxing, an upstairs outdoor terrace and a separate dance floor (with DJ booth and disco lights!).
From the very beginning, Luke was highly responsive, accommodating to our requests, very helpful and easy to work with – we knew that everything was in safe hands.
Luke and his team did a great job on the day and everything ran seamlessly – they really helped make the evening memorable and special for our guests!
The food was great – the canapes to start, the BBQ dinner, desserts and the late night snacks, and, the full bars offered our guests anything they could want.
We had an amazing night, and danced until 2am.
We received many compliments from our guests and would highly recommend The Chapel Bar! Thanks so much!

Myself and five friends had the £35 set menu bottomless brunch. The food and drinks were nice enough, but strangely when the bill arrived they’d charged us £42.75 per person plus 12.5% service on top (we only realised after one of the girls questioned why we’d be paying an additional £14 service each on a £35 per person bill). We spoke with the waiter who took the bill and subtracted the additional £46.50 off without any issue, but it seemed strange to me that it had been put through wrong in the first place. I wonder if they add it on in the hope you won’t check ... one to watch for if you go.

We unreservedly apologise for this oversight and it certainly should not have happened. We would like to reassure you this was a genuine error on our part and would never risk our reputation just for the sake of a few pounds.
You ordered from the Bottomless Brunch menu which we had just added a couple of extra dishes to the options for. To put additional dishes in a composite product with many food/drink choices involves some till programming and whilst the options were added a flag box with -1 in should have had 0 in so when the dish was added to the composite bill it did not add a monetary value. This erroneous -1 caused the dish to get charged to your bill on top of the £35 for the Bottomless Brunch. Our staff should have checked the bill more closely before giving it to you but they have said they did look but just did not pick up on the accidentally charge until you highlighted it.
I thank you for bringing this to our attention and this error in the till has now been corrected.

TL;DR- complete lack of respect for a reservation time led to a ruined evening without dinner.
I made a reservation for Arenella at The Chapel Bar via OpenTable on March 11 for April 12 at 7:30 for 4. As this would be the first day of reopening, my friends and I were excited to go and have a bit of normalcy again. I confirmed the reservation via Opentable the day before. We arrived at 7:25 and within minutes there was concern. Several other parties were waiting as well and it didn’t look like and staff was engaging them, checking reservations, seating them, etc. Everyone was just waiting. After a few minutes I asked the bartender if that was the queue to be seated and he said he would check on our table when he could. Cue a following FORTY more minutes of hardly any acknowledgement or communication from any staff while the other parties are seated and we’re left waiting. Now I know businesses have been closed and I can understand some readjustment to reopening and getting back in the swing of thing. However, after 45 minutes of waiting we’d had enough. There was no end in sight- we were told someone had accidentally booked an inside table and due to accommodating them things were cramped. They should have prioritized those who had booked the tables they actually had. We were just expected to wait it out with no discussion of how long it would be and a total lack of empathy for the situation. There’s a reason I made this reservation so far in advance as I expected things to book up for the 12th. We finally told them we were leaving and then, predictably, were unable to get a table anywhere else. Now being 8:45 and having wasted over an hour waiting/trying to find somewhere else, the trip in, and the cost of a babysitter to have this night out, we returned home having not eaten or drank a thing and in pretty foul moods. This was a night my friends and I had been looking forward to for a month and was absolutely completely ruined.

We can only unreservedly apologise to you for this situation last night. The table before you arrived late and were seated late (really they should have lost their reservation but it is very hard to say no to people in the current climate with everyone being so desperate to get out and see their friends) and as a result they ran a long way over time and into your reservation. This of course had a knock on effect as we were absolutely fully booked. This reason obviously doesn't make up for ruining your evening and I do not wish to make excuses but just to try and explain what was going on. The fact that communication from our staff to you was also very poor compounded an already bad situation. As a result of this we have conducted staff training today to address this problem.
We absolutely understand how important this booking was for you, that you had been looking forward to it for sometime and the last thing we would ever want to do is ruin someone's evening. The only thing we can do to try and make this right is to offer you a bottle of prosecco on the house if you would rebook and visit again.
Once again, sincere apologies.

My partner and I are planning to host our wedding here and wanted to try the food. We both had the chicken milanese and it was really delicious and full of flavour, enjoyed it so much. Our waiter was really friendly and accomdating and the owner was really warm and easy to speak with, looking forward to having our wedding here!

Booked Chapel bar for my wifes 40th based on previous reviews. From the start of organising the party with Luke to the party day itself everything was perfect. All the staff were super friendly and hard working on the evening, the food canapes were lush and the whole layout of the venue was perfect for my wife to have an amazing night with her friends. Would highly recommend anyone considering this venue to book! (even if you havn't visited the venue like i hadn't)

Thank you so much for making my daughter’s birthday such a special night. All communication leading up to the event was perfectly managed and handled by Luke and we felt in very safe hands. The Chapel is decorated beautifully and looked divine! The staff know their stuff and were so chilled, fun and professional and truly looked after us all night!
All our guests commented on what a ‘find’ the venue is - ‘This place is fantastic’ and the food was superb!! The dance floor is an added bonus and was filled with our 80+ guests well into the night! There is excellent sound and lighting that’s so well balanced you can ‘let loose’ on the dance floor or chat in the bar area and speak normally. It all added up to a truly brilliant night!! I can’t recommend The Chapel highly enough. Thank you so much Alex, Luke, Oli and all the staff!!

I booked the terrace at the Chapel Bar for my friend’s baby shower and it was perfect. The team were great with helping to set up and were great fun throughout the event. The terrace was gorgeous in the sun and the food that we had requested was amazing, just what we wanted! All precautions were taken to keep safe and I will def book again if I’m organising another event. Thank you Chapel Bar.....particularly Martina, Eduardo, Alex & Luke!

We had an incredible Wedding Reception at The Chapel Bar, Luke was super accommodating, allowing us to customise our event to the fullest extent with our own decoration and bespoke food & drinks menus, which were delicious. The DJ organised by the venue did a great job and Daniel & the rest of the team were amazing on the day, service was exceptional and it couldn't have gone smoother. Thank you all for a wonderful experience!

Enjoyed amazing Italian food, excellent wine choices and cocktails here! Best arancini I’ve ever had! The upstairs restaurant and terrace is beautiful, lovely friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. The terrace was covered so could even sit outside when it was a bit chilly. A great little find! I will be back for my pasta fix 😊

We would thoroughly recommend this venue. Luke has been great, he has quickly responded to any questions we had. On the night, Ollie, the bar manager, ensured everything ran smoothly & was extremely efficient, knowledgeable and allowed us to enjoy our night without having any worries. The bar staff were brilliant in serving the various cocktails, drinks as well as serving the canapés & food orders. We just wanted to say a big thank to Ollie and the team who worked with us Saturday. Our guests said the staff were really good and that they loved the food! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Perfect venue for parties (or in our case, our wedding reception!)

The Chapel Bar is a lovely size venue and well laid out. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The organisation was great, they sourced a karaoke machine for us and were flexible in the packages thy offered. They even allowed us to change dates after train strikes were announced. On the evening, the staff were fantastic. We had finger food which was ok. We really loved the atmosphere and would definitely return.

We had the most sensational evening at Chapel Bar! The intimate atmosphere with the warmth and friendliness of the staff made us feel like we were at home. All our guests commented on the delicious food. I found the whole process of planning with the management clear and reassuring. We will definitely hire again the future. Thank you!

We had our company summer party on the upstairs terrace for around 70 colleagues. The BBQ food was very good quality, cooked to perfection and we were even lucky with the weather! Daniel and his team of Mirco and Leonardo looked after us all with their friendly, efficient service and expert cocktail making! We will certainly return and I have no hesitation in recommending the Chapel Bar and Luke's wonderful team.
