Visited The Duke on a Thursday early afternoon for a meal with family after a visit to the interesting nearby Dickens House Museum. A classic, wood panelled, pub interior. The food was great - generous portions and piping hot. I can particularly recommend the pies...More

Enjoyed our time at The Duke, good food and 🍺! A good people watching pub in London. Not too busy, not too big. Very good food!

A good drinker's pub that hasn't been mucked around and modernised. At its best in the middle of the afternoon or early evening, this is how all pubs should be but very few are.

During my recent visit to London, I found this wee gem around from where we were staying. I dined here twice and both meals were outstanding. The staff member Jo was very welcoming and gave us 100% fantastic service. The meal was huge. I had...More

Love this pub. Just like going back in time to 30’s/40’s London and even more atmospheric as it’s such a quiet spot (except when the kids at the primary school opposite are on playtime). Great food, booze and atmos. Totally recommend.

We've eaten here a few times for lunch with work and always have a good experience. Food portions are large, there's a friendly atmosphere and the outdoor space is ideal in summer for a beer in the sun.

Having visited this pub in January 2017 just for a drink I thought it would be a great place to bring our friends for our annual Christmas meeting. I contacted the pub well in advance to book a table which turned out to be a...More

I guess it would be fairly easy to get a wheelchair in the main door. As someone else has pointed out, they are double doors. And the staff are really great and helpful. I am sure it will be fine. And you'll love the beer... More
