Food is always fresh and creative. Seafood is an integral part of the menu. Absolutely one of the best restaurants in this area. Service is attentive and prompt but not overbearing.

Cozy and amazing atmosphere, Baccala has left the best impressions! All their dishes were delicious and were wonderfully served. I recommend to everyone! Definitely I would like to come back here again!
We love small independent Italian restaurants and this one did not disappoint. Great choices on a la carte or lunch menu and a good range of wines. Burrata was superb as was the roast octopus to start. The simple chitarrine was excellent followed by very...interesting cheese plate. Nice to see local produce used like the bread, olive oil and honey. Very friendly staff and stylish surroundings. Highly recommend!More
Baccala was small with a limited menu but the food was done very well, the service professional and very "Italian" and overall a good experience. We went there twice over a period of a week and if there was one issue was that the menu...had not changed.More
I can’t fault this place. The place is relaxed and casual yet you feel the warm atmosphere as soon as you are welcomed at the door. One of the best meals I have ever had. Fish cooked to perfection with beautiful vegetables. A wonderful choice...of olive oils, which was a delight and so interesting. A lovely choice of wines. The service was outstanding-efficient and friendly but not intrusive. They noticed everything. A truly special dining adventure. What a find. We will be back.More
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and your kind words. We are always looking forward to welcoming you at Baccalà. Best, Baccala family
The restaurant is lovely. Everything is very contemporary. Even the portions. The food was lovely, especially the sauces. However main courses is basically just a starter. The money spent were not adequate the value. It was yummy but super overpriced
We had a family dinner here and came away well satisfied. The menu is more interesting than most Italian restaurants and what we chose was very nicely presented. The staff were busy but very courteous. The prices were a little over that of your average...Italian place, but you also got a little more of the good things.More

Such a lovely experience. Was my sister my wife and my self, (my wife and I are chefs, and i am italian). Service is friendly and attentive and not intrusive. Wine selection took me back to Italy ( not the old boring times) but a...modern selection of goodies and pearls of wine bottles and by the glass, francia corta saten, marco carpineti just to mention a couple of options, they also have a list for evo oil to taste with the bread. The kitchen part: small but well rounded menu, the ingredient are proper italian’ s gems, traditional food with a modern approach that make everything really tasting and light, the freshness and quality of the fish is to die for.More

Overall, I was not impressed with Baccalà. The food was overpriced and portions small, the service was rushed, and the kitchen closed without notifying us. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Atmosphere was noisy. Not a good fit for special events.
Came for the oysters and they did not disappoint. We came a bit late oysters are served from 12-5pm and arrived passed that but Fabio was more than willing to service us a round of freshly chucked oysters. The one we had was from Ireland...and it was so fresh and tasty we had to order another round with a bottle of Italian Gavi wine. Was sooo good. May have to come back and sample the other seafood dishes.More
Very Disappointing Very hit and miss. The bread and olive oil delicious as was the baccala. Oysters fresh but nothing special. Pasta dishes OK but a bit salty and the roasted monkfish average at best. Monkfish was tough and came with only a swear of...puree pumkin which was tasteless. This would be acceptable but at £33 plus 12.5% for the monkfish and starters on average £17 to £22 unacceptable. The Tiramisu was great but should be at £11. There are better Italians at this price and better at cheaper prices. A number of the cheaper bottles of wine were out of stock and no alternatives forcing you to buy the more expensive bottles . The overbearing waiter didn't add to the evening.More
Food was delicious and wine was good although they are very expensive. We kept on being reminded that we must be on time, so we did turn up five minutes before but we were made to wait outside for 15 minutes, even worse, until the...drink was delivered it took 45 minutes. We were not entirely happy but they are new to business, so we tried to be understanding.More
Absolutely love this restaurant. We came in for their lunch menu on a day out to London and enjoyed the piccolo baccalà menu which is a selection of smaller plates. We picked the oysters, baccalà, squid and burrata and everything was delicious. The quality of...the food was impeccable and presented beautifully. Being totally upfront it’s not the cheapest place to eat around, but when weighed with the quality of the food and service I would choose this over many other places. I’ve already been singing it’s praises to family and friends and will definitely be back.More
A lovely seafood Italian restaurant. Service by the owner Fabio and staff was impeccable. Fabio the sommelierrecommended a delicious Italian Chardonnay from a boutique vineyard. The restaurant is very clean indeed with simplistic decor. We ordered: baccalà mantecato, cozze, borlotti, puntarelle evoo whipped salted cod,...mussels, borlotti, puntarelle. polpo arrostito al lardo di colonnata, peperoni, olive, basilico Every dish was delicious and presented beautifully. Will definitely return. roasted octopus with “colonnata” lard, marinated bell peppers, olives, basil La pentolaccia di chitarrine con sugo allo scoglio chitarrine with shellfish and molluscs in casserole Monkfish with celeriac puree, dill roasted artichokes.
