A very sad excuse for a English Breakfast. Just look at the photo I've posted. 1 and a half mushroom?!?! Service is really bad also. Waiters are treated like slaves.

Being a builder, we often get turned away I certain cafe however, not this one very warm, welcome friendly service and good food.
I came back here after I had visited more than 20 years ago. I remembered this place as being spotlessly clean, brightly lit, with pictures of Princess Diana and letters from her to the owners of the cafe covering the walls. The look of the...place now is what I can only describe as faded. The (patent?) leather seats are in a terrible, terrible state and most of the photos have faded in the sunlight. What I found more worrying, though, was the service. The waitress took my order - a salad, an orange juice and a glass of tap water. Ten minutes later she came back, looked at me, and asked for my order. I said that she had taken it ten minutes previously and that I was waiting for my food. She then suddenly remembered she had already given my order to the kitchen. The food came (the salad was okay), and the waitress inexplicably told me about a wound she had on her hand! While I was eating, a lone ant crawled across my table. It took ages for my bill to arrive and I was only too happy to leave. Sometimes memories are best left alone and not re-visited. I, for one, won't bother with this place again. It looks like the owners are more tnan happy to still cash in on the Diana story, but don't want to invest any money in new seats for example, or to train their staff better.More
Unfortunately the place was filthy and required a. Good cleaning, the toilets were indescribable ~ would not recommend going unless desperate. The food was underwhelming, but okay. Would not recommend.
Fine neighborhood place for breakfast with a good choice of food at a reasonable price. The full English breakfast met all the typical expectations although there were many different more healthy options. The orange juice was a generous serving and so delicious. Fun Princess Diana...ambiance. Worth a stop if you are in the area.More
I had 3 wonderful meals here when I visited London between May 2-12, 2023. Excellent food, friendly and prompt service fantastic ambience!
They only want Iraqis / Easterners. I was left in a shabby cold takeaway area and only saw as I left a cosy restaurant. Pitta salad only pickled. Despite tomatoes on. Cooler. Off hand patron was effusive to other Muslims. As a Diana fan I...was appalled he uses her image. Don't go there.More
I love this coffee, which has great memories, great service, nice and tactful staff. I advise everyone to visit it. You will get addicted to it.
I came here for a drink as I was early for an appointment nearby, and found this a lovely café. They have a large variety of snacks, and all the normal café meals plus Middle Eastern options. The lady at the counter was friendly and...the service was great.More
The food is good and decent price, but what I really liked are the pictures which are everywhere in there with Princess Diana. I would go back
Literally had breakfast here this morning with my husband as recommended by our hotel. English breakfast absolutely fine. No issues with toast not being buttered etc. not expensive and waitress was great
Firstly not at all friendly, the guy took my order which he didn’t seem to understand, I repeated my order, what came was weird, and English breakfast with toast, then another plate with two more toast and two sausages, and a mug of latte, I...ordered after my breakfast another latte, total bill £24.00. A shocking rip off. Not one for arguments I paid and left, and will never ever return. Absolutely disgusting service.More
I am leaving this review now as it is fresh in my mind having only just left this cafe. So upon entering we sit down and after several minutes I decided to go and find a menu myself as nobody bothers to bring us one....Once I get a menu we both decide to have the full english breakfast and a pot of tea. We wait, and wait and wait until eventually we get up to leave. As I am about to walk about a waitress appears, I ask if she wants to take our order. She says she will be right over and to her credit she then did appear soon afterwards but with a look of absolute distain on her face as if she was doing us a favour. I'd like to say she was rude but frankly the term 'Rude' would be a positive review of this young ladies attitude. Shortly after this another waitress arrived, she was at least slightly more pleasant and she actually apologised for what had happened thus far. Even she must have been aware of how ignorant her co-worker was. She brought our tea over, alas with no milk! Then to our astonishment our breakfast arrived literally within 3 minutes. Well, one of our breakfasts anyway. I can only assume the kitchen was as shambolic as the waiting staff because all we kept hearing from the kitchen was "two number 1's", it was like listening to a record on repeat. So I sat there for a while with my breakfast in front of me, my friend continued to wait. I couldn't eat mine obviously because I think it goes without saying that we had no cutlery!! Eventually the milk for the tea arrived, followed by the cutlery and then my friends breakfast. Now we turn to the food itself, average at best. The bacon was a colour I have never seen before and didn't really look or even taste like bacon. The sausage wasn't much better. The tomato however was fine!! Congratulations, you managed to not ruin a tomato! The breakfast came with 2 slices of toast, needless to say it wasn't buttered not did it come with butter. We had to ask and was presented with one tiny packet of Flora that would just about be adequate to cover one slice. We asked for more and got some more Flora and Lurpak dumped on out table shortly afterwards. I think it was around this point that the waitress finally decided to clean the tables that had the previous occupants left over dirty plates and food left on them, they had been there since we arrived by the way. The dirty fork was left on the floor and I suspect if I was stupid enough to go back to this cafe again in a weeks time it will still be there! So, we finally finish and needless to say nobody comes near us. No, "can I get you anything else, was everything ok, would you like the bill?" Nothing. It is also worth mentioning that whilst we were sat there 2 other female customers went to use the toilet facilities. I have no idea how bad the toilets were and no do I ever want to find out but the look on those poor ladies faces told a story of their own. It was shortly after this that we decided to leave, we walk towards the exit and again no staff to be seen at all, I honestly really wanted to walk out without paying and had I had done so I would still fell as if I overpaid! But I did the decent thing and asked the rude ignorant waitress if I could pay and then the manager arrives. At least having met him briefly I can understand where the waitress gets her attitude from. He clearly taught the waitress the art of rudeness, not a word of thanks and when I paid just pulls the card machine away from me and walks away. Honestly I would never set foot in this place ever again. Disgusting customer Service, and poor quality food. 1/5 is to much for this place!More
On saturday we stumbled into the Diana cafe so we popped in for some breakfast. The cafe was fairly busy which is normally a good sign that a place is good. After waiting about 10/15 mins the waitress finally came to take our order. This...was a hard task as the waitresses english was not the best. We ordered a big full english and avocado and poached eggs with two orange juices. The waitress then brought over one set of cutlery, so we had to ask for more. Then when the food arrived we had to ask for our drinks. The waitress completely forgot that we had ordered them. We even had to ask for sauces and salt and pepper. The food was pretty good to be fair. I really enjoyed my full english. Although my wife had ordered her poached eggs to be well cooked but they were not. By this time she couldnt be bothered to send the eggs back as we were starving. We did ask for some extra butter for our barely buttered toast but that never arrived. The orange juice was freshly squeezed, which we didnt know we had ordered. The OJ was ok, but warm. We finished our meals and wanted to pay, but the waitress was no where to be seen. We eventually went to the counter (which is tucked away round the corner) where we encountered one of the rudest men I've ever dealt with in my life. He barely acknowledged us, just typed away at the calculator before charging me 32 pounds. We were left baffled and asked him how the meal could possibly add up to 32 pounds? The orange juices were charged at £5.50 each!!! On the menu, orange juice was listed as £2.50. But as we ordered fresh orange juice (which we didn't) that was the reason why it was £5.50 a glass. We looked towards the waitress as if to say that it was her mistake, but she couldn't care less. They even had the cheek to add a service charge. I was extremely tired and the place was so hot and muggy that I really didn't have the energy to argue anymore so reluctantly paid the bill. I was so angry at myself for the remainder of the day as I should've refused to pay it. I wouldn't go back and I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone else go there either.More
Service is good. Falafel is excellent. Salads are large. Atmosphere is darling with lots of pictures of Lady Diana. Inexpensive food, big menu. It was good 3 years ago, so I returned and was not disappointed. Diner style booths, not fancy. Good breakfast menu too.
