Excellent pub and a real piece of hisrory - being the oldest pub on the Thames. Expect to fight for space here though, especially at weekends. Great environment, great atmosphere!

Every time I visit London I try to get to this pub. It's old and small and has great food and a great beer selection, but the best is its historical significance. Located in Rotherhithe, literally overhanging the Thames, it is the site of the...More

This a brilliant rabbit warren of a pub. There are little rooms with quotes painted on walls & benches. Good beers & atmospheric dining room upstairs .

I have known this pub through its various ups and downs over many years. It has always been atmospheric and historic and, during its best times, cosy and welcoming. But it has almost always struggled with its food offering...and judging by my pie, now is...More

One of or if not the oldest pub on the Thames, had Sunday roast and it would seem the rest of the customers were too, nothing wrong with the potatoes or beef but could’ve had a bit more veg, that’s the only reason it doesn’t...More

Another classic maritime hostelry, full of character, Nauticalia and excellent real ale. Splendid river views could be had from the decked balcony. Apparently the departure area for the Pilgrim Fathers . For all trivia fans, this is the only U.K. pub licensed to sell American...More
