Decided to give them another try as it had been a while. Friendly service though slow considering it was only our table of two and another table of 5, but seems like they had several takeaway orders. Ordered a lamb starter which looked and tasted...like chicken lol. Main courses again weren't great but I really enjoyed the vegetable naan which I'd never had before and the onion rice. Great food only surpassed by incredible staff. We found this little Indian restaurant after arriving tired and hungry after a long journey. The food was delicious and after enjoying our meal and having a chat with the waiter we returned to our hotel for a...drink in the bar just accross the road. While there we were approached by one of the staff from the restaurant who asked me to come back to the restaurant with him as he was sure "I had made a mistake with the tip". He was right I had mistakenly added an extra "0" to the £8 tip, giving £80. I can't believe the honesty of these lovely people, they could have easily just left it and not made any effort to find me. So not only delicious food but unbelievably genuine staff in the outskirts of London. Thank you for going above and beyond 🙏More

Great, delectable, delightfully ready, honest food served in a peculiar open air setting. A lot of seating for some individuals. Friendly and attentive service and delicious authentic food. I've used this place for a decade and had many corporate lunch parties and this one was no different. Quality food always. Now the restaurant doesnt serve alcohol or wine, I dont mind as I dont drink...but allowed the drinkers to BYOB (bring your own bottle). All happy!More

Went for an Indian curry on weekend, superb food great service. Great location right next to West ferry DLR station. Relaxing sitting area upstairs. Enjoyed it and will be back.

I've used Spice Merchants for several years - both to eat in and home deliver. I've never been disappointed. The food is consitantly good and they are happy to suit tastes e.g. I like a dry curry and thick dalh.

Ordered takeaway during covid lockdown and they prepared on time and was great delicious. Been coming here for years and its always beeen great.

WORST RESTAURANT IN ALL OF LONDON. The waiter fought with us over turning the air conditioning on and made threats to us saying the food we ordered wasn’t enough for us to ask for air conditioning. Never in my life have I ever dealt with...people as rude as these. NEVER enter this restaurant unless you want to be yelled at by the waiter.More

Very disappointed. We ordered food for taking away: butter chicken, chicken korahi and dahl. The butter chicken was in a coconut sauce which was so sweet it could not be eaten. The chicken korahi was too spicy, had no salt, chicken and veg were uncooked....The lentils in the dahl were a mix of cooked and uncooked. I called the restaurant to complain and I was yelled at by an individual who tought it would be appropriate to tell me if I'm a chef then I should cook my own food and not order from them. He also said they are short staffed and very busy and I should call deliveroo to complain if I don't like my food. They will not issue a refund. Needless to say, we are almost 30 pounds short and their food is in the bin. By the way, we are in self isolation like a lot of other people in London...if you cannot deliver quality food because you're understaffed, then accept less orders or lower your prices. And do not yell at customers who are out of pocket because you produced food which is of inedible quality. Shame on you. Never again.More

With some trepidation I entered the empty restaurant (Moghul Dhum-phukt cuisine... really??) but I was to be pleasantly surprised 😃. I ordered a paneer garlic chili dish and it was all three. Spicy! And the great slices of garlic 😃 within it was all I...could hope for. The attentive waiter (the manager?) was great, and I highly recommend the Spice market for a meal if you are close by. I just wish I lived closer! Excellent!More

Difficult to find a better indian restaurant. Good service, friendly atmosphere, fantastic food that is always well presented. Good value, particularly if you opt for one of the special menus. You will not be disappointed.
