Good location with amazing view. Food is really tasty (you should try Soupe de Printemps - it's amazing) and drinks are incredible, especially Winter Berry Lemonade. Staff is really friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch and were treated rudely twice in the matter of a few minutes. The restaurant was busy, but not packed. We entered and walked through to where there were empty tables right by other diners. We started to sit down and were told we could not sit there. We were moved across the... More

I wanted to surprise my wife with a special dinner at the restaurant where we had originally met. Our server, Fran was wonderful, seating us at the table where we had shared our first meal together (even though that part of the restaurant is usually closed on a Wednesday) and making sure that the bottle of wine I had requested... I had a delicious dinner with my partner last week. This was our third visit to this restaurant. Our waitress Fran was really friendly and efficient. Lovely food and reasonably prices.

Meal for four with a great view of St Paul's. Our server Fran made an excellent suggestion regarding the choice of wine. Attentive helpful service the entire evening. Really enjoyed the Lamb Cassoulet.

Visited at a quiet time early Sunday evening. Sad to see that they could not offer the burger cooked anything other than well done (it must be pre cooked and reheated) and when I swopped to a minute steak that too came well done. The highs were proper french bread and a decent glass of Merlot. Couldn't fault our waiter,... More

35 minute wait for food; olives ordered but did not arrive; Poulet Breton was cold but more importantly I am 1000% sure it was made and plated earlier and just reheated - the chicken was as dry as might be when it is left out for a day. Once he delivered we never saw the waiter again; had to physically... More

After a morning of tourist activities, my family of three arrived at 1 p.m. for a relaxing lunch before touring St. Paul's. The place was very busy and seemed short-staffed but we were seated right away. Despite the busy atmosphere, our waiter Ale efficiently made the rounds and we never had to wait too long for service. The menu contains... More

Our experience at this restaurant was blossoming nicely into a fond memory to be tucked away and smiled over on retrieval. We were promptly shown to a pleasant window table by a waiter with that balance of off-hand courtesy that only the French can achieve. After ordering we were asked if we'd like olives and bread as an hors d'oeuvre.... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
