I visited with my 2 children at around 12.30pm on a Sunday. The restaurant was still almost empty. Waited 10 minutes to be seated while waiters were chatting to each others. We ordered some starters that arrived after 15 minutes. Mains arrived at 14:10 after...More

Called in for an early dinner with my daughter. Not a great experience with lots of problems and sub-standard service. Starter arrived before drinks. Bottle of coke warmer than room temperature. Kids cordial far too strong. Unpeeled carrot in child starter. Ordered kids penne but...More

Had a lovely meal, everything we ate was delicious. We hadn’t booked and the table we were shown to we weren’t keen on, the waiter asked if we could wait a couple of minutes and we could get a booth looking onto the river. Our...More

Booked a table for 2 at 6pm for myself and a friend. Comfy table with a view of the river. The best waitress service I've received in London. Aida had the most welcoming smile and took great pleasure in ensuring we had everything we needed,...More

Good to see reasonable wine offered in carafes. Menu full of choices. I had the wild boar, quite spicy and others were happy too. Eating a supper at 5: 30 pm is not easy even in London but this place ticked the boxes.

Arrived late (about 9:30-10:00pm) and were made to feel welcome. We were given a table with a fantastic view over the Thames and had two fantastic pizzas and some good wine. The staff were very pleasant and we didn't feel rushed even though we were...More

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some
time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved
browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest

At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Just a short walk from the famous Globe Theatre, our Bankside restaurant offers a nice rest for the weary London sightseers and stunning river views while you dine. The illustrations decorating the walls throughout the restaurant were inspired by the surrounding area - a hub of urban skateboard culture that involves spirit, music and fashion, illustrated by the artist Matthew Brooks. Look out for loads of other interesting details including skateboard decks, modern art and vespa scooters.
