No need for breakfast or pre theatre drinks if you book a Club Room and enjoy the facilities of the Club Lounge. Coffee and soft drinks all day and alcoholic drinks from 6pm. Problem might be drinking too much!! Breakfast includes eggs and bacon alongside good range of continental items. Staff unfailingly helpful and friendly.

This is the lounge adjacent to Crown Plaza check in. Here you can get refreshments and pass the time people watching. On the other hand if you need a quiet place to gather some thoughts before a meeting or have a meeting away from the hustle and bustle, then this fits the bill!

This is a very pleasant spot for a drink. The wait staff were all very friendly and attentive on the night we visited. The drinks were good. The atmosphere is great and the big open fireplace is a plus. Prices are what you would expect in a 4-5 star hotel lobby-bar.

After spending a long day sightseeing, we decided to eat at the Club Lounge at the hotel. I had the spinach and potato curry, my sone had the chili and rice, and my husband had the gourmet hamburger - the largest hamburger I have ever seen. The service was great, no wait, and reasonably priced.

Lovely to be able to walk the short distance from our room to the club lounge on the same floor for breakfast and to likewise come in from a days activity, have a shower then pop around to the lounge for drinks and canapes

Went in here and it was quite busy, lots of people on expense account running up the company bills, I suspect that if they were paying then they would drink elsewhere, every drink was well over priced, even a bottle of lager (330cl) was £4.95! you can buy a case of 12 from the supermarket for £15. The prices stopped... More

Dear Liz M, I am glad you mentioned our healthy juices. They have been a great success since we started them earlier this year. With the juice of the day we allow staff to use their creativity and they certainly come up with some great combinations. The fire place is a very popular feature in our City Lounge as well. More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
