Food was amazing! Everything I ate was tasty, sweet (as I like), with spices but not so much and the service was great since I walked in to the restaurant! Toni specially was super nice, he checked several times if I needed anything ✨

Brick Lane is famous for Indian cuisine, and with such an abundance competition dictates the highest quality to survive. This restaurant, and especially its manager Mr Raj are stalwarts in customer service. The food is excellent and the atmosphere second to none. Love this place. Highly recommended.

We had dinner twice at this restaurant, and loved every detail of it. The service is friendly, quick and attentive, and the food is absolutely delicious. We had different dishes each time, both lamb and chicken, and everything we tried was just fantastic. The price is exceptionally reasonable considering the amount of food you get and the location in central London. F.e. we paid 77£ for two starters, two mains, rice and na’an, pappadums and a bottle of (good!) wine. We can absolutely recommend this place and will come back there next time we visit London. If you can, try the Peshwari Na’an - it’s as good as it can get!

Pretty poor experience. Food was just ok, nothing great and quite expensive £75 for poppadoms, one drink each and a main with rice for two. This was after giving us the wrong bill for £125. I know it's Christmas but the problem was we were really rushed through the meal and literally as soon as the last forkful went in they took the plates, gave us the bill and asked us to leave. This was about 45 mins after we sat down. My friend went to the toilet and they asked me to move his coat, suitcase and backpack as well as my backpack outside rather than waiting for a few minutes until he came back upstairs. I'm sure there will be an apology and comment that this is not their usual service etc etc, but this was really poor and unnecessary and it ruined the whole meal. I would never go again.

I thought I'd come here and drop a bomb about the disgusting attitude of the staff at Curry Bazaar but I see that others have already done it... As soon as I'd finished my meal and before I'd managed to place the cutlery in the finished position, they came round to clear the table. Red flag. They brought me the bill without me asking for it. Red flag. Dessert was not offered. They seemed bothered that I checked the bill before I paid. A couple of chocolates were brought with the bill and I still had half of a bottle of water left, which I'd paid for. But while I was trying to eat the chocolate they came to the table and started removing the table cloth saying that someone else was waiting for the table... Not really my problem. My things were pushed over the table. I told them they were being appallingly rude and that I had been charged for service. They started shouting at me. I told them that I do not tolerate being shouted at. They told me they had said to people that I'd be 5 minutes and the table would be free... Really? I never said that. Thanks for kicking me out. They were literally all over me standing uncomfortably close. They left me with a dirty stained table cloth in their attempt to force me to leave. They then told me I talk too much. I've never been treated with such rudeness and lack of respect in ANY restaurant I have ever been to in Brick Lane or beyond. The staff have literally 0 awareness of social norms, customer service or respect for customers. The place was really loud all the time I was there with yobs swearing loudly without any intervention by the staff. Now I understand why. The food tasted good but the lamb was tough and chewy and full of fibre. The food is better at the City Spice just opposite and when it comes to service you can't go wrong anywhere else by here. Worst service ever. If I could I would give them a minus 5 star rating. I am sorry that I left a single pound here. The ladies' toilet was also smelly with no toilet roll and the sink hadn't been cleaned for a few weeks and was reeking because of it. Absolutely disgusting place and staff. Ruined my evening. I'd only send my enemy to eat here.

It was challenging to get past the tout to the entrance which was daft as we had already decided to go in! Is a tout really necessary? The service was a little brusque and our bill was bought without asking us if we wanted anything else ( we did) . The menu was standard British curry fare that you get everywhere. The lamb passanda was nice, plenty of lamb and sauce and the saag paneer very tasty. The king prawn dish had a nice sauce but the prawns were very overcooked. The mango lassi was disappointing, very sweet and synthetic in taste.

Great authentic Indian , there are so many to choose from but decided to book after walking past the day before. It had both outside tables and also the fact that there are tables with open doors so you can see outside. We booked via the Fork app and this gave us 50% off the food . The food selection was excellent as was the service and there were a few dishes that I hadnt seen before so opted for one that was spicy but not to hot. Our server was very helpful with food selection and the drink prices wasnt to high for London about £6.50 for a 600m bottle of Cobra and a bottle of house wine was £14.95 Food was Overall great choice food was good and Only open complaint , we booked on line but when we got there they never asked for our name even though we told them we had booked. So surprised to receive a no show email from both the restaurant and the Fork. Also we were charged full price on our bill even though we had prebooked , this was quickly rectified when I brought it to their attention , easy mistake . It was Tuesday night and they were fully booked , Would recommend this restaurant as the food was very good but pre book and remind them when you check in

As a vegan I always appreciate it when places list this on the menu and cold beers; however, this as about as good as it got. We waited over 2hrs for our food, had a waiter try to clear our table before we got food and when the mains finally came they were all disgustingly sweet. Spice level was nice but my veg Dansak curry had frozen veg in sauce which had honey or something overly sweet in it. Veg was obviously frozen. Young waitstaff were nice and friendly but the older staff were a mess. Having sat near the dumbwaiter/pass we saw a waiter put his fingers in rice to give it a mix then serve it to a table. Ofter that we tried to watch the pass and told our friends to keep an eye out as well. This place has some potential but the mess-ups are so big that it makes food nearly inedible and just poor hygiene etc.

We wanted to eat a nice curry in Brick Lane and when we passed here we were called in with attractive promises. It turned out to be a good choice because the food is indeed excellent. We had a delicious range of snacks followed by an excellent curry. The Pashwari naan bread and lemon rice tasted excellent with the dishes served. Definitely worth visiting here.

Read reviews on trip advisor and decided to give it a go, after previous night’s poor experience at Aladin across the road. Vegetable pakora had to be sent back as was served cold. Much better when replaced, although a bit mushed vegetables for me. Curry was a king prawn dish with chillies and garlic, it actually had a kick. Nan bread was well cooked and fluffy. Licenced unlike some others on Brick lane. Overall a reasonable experience, but not a patch on currys in areas such a Southall, who cater for Asians, rather than tourists.

It sounds like you had a mixed experience. It's good that the restaurant was able to replace the cold pakora, and that the curry and naan were enjoyable. However, it seems the overall experience didn't quite match up to the high standards found in more authentic areas like Southall. It's always interesting to compare different places, especially in a city like London where the quality can vary so much!

After reading so many positive reviews, I have to say we were pretty disappointed. We were in the area for 5 nights and had some really decent food but a bit repetitive pub grub so went for something different. Booked online and got 25% off the food, to be honest if we had paid full price it would've been one or two stars. The food was decent but just as you would expect in most Indian restaurants. Couple of irritation, they bring poppadum's to the table, I think 6 of them for the 3 of us, we nibbled at 2 of them (Not bad) but then they add over £8 to the bill. Same with water left on the table and £3 or £4 added to the bill. We don't mind paying decent price for what we order but not so keen paying for things we don't order. 3 starters, 3 mains (2 chicken, 1 Veggie), 2 plain rice, 2 nan and 2 bottles of Cobra, over £80 and that is with 25% off Best dish was a prawn puree starter, the rest average.

This is a must visit for curry lovers. The food was incredible. My partner Steve told the manager that having worked in Mumbai for over 10 years his Lamb Dhansak was the best he had ever eaten. We had the pleasure of sitting on the inside table with the door opening onto the street which was a lovely spot. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive, service was slick and food hot and delicious. Thoroughly recommend, 5 starts all round.

We’ve eaten at the Bengal Village next door before but couldn’t get in as restaurant was full. Was then told that the Curry Bazaar was the same restaurant. Unfortunately the food was no where as good as the Bengal Village and to be honest this was the opinion of all of us. The plates were barely warm and by the time the food came they were cold. Very disappointed

My family and I recently enjoyed a delightful dinner at The Famous Curry Bazaar. This classic curry house, located in London's Brick Lane, specializes in Indian favorites with Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan influences, and it certainly delivered a burst of authentic flavors. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it perfect for our family dinner. There was something to please everyone, with a wide array of vegetarian and vegan options alongside classic Indian dishes. We all raved about the flavorful food and the excellent service. I especially enjoyed the delicious mushroom and coconut rice. It was also great to see a dedicated vegan section on the menu. We highly recommend The Famous Curry Bazaar.
