Fresh authentic Vietnamese food, very cheap and quick service, what more could you want! Would recommend the mango salad, sizzling fish and beef pho.

Have been meaning to try Tiger cafe for a while and now that we have this will definitely be our new fave local vietnamese. We got the fresh rolls with prawn and asked for peanut sauce instead of fish sauce (GAME CHANGER, DEFINITELY TRY THIS OUT!) and the sauce was hot and thick and peanutty...mmm absolutely perfect accompaniment to the... Food is delicious! Not only are portions huge but the food is inexpensive. I highly recommend pork banh cuon and beef pho. I go with family every week or so :)

Delicious food, friendly service, and a great price! Go, you won't regret it. Fragrant beef pho and juicy, crispy salt and pepper squid.

We were looking for a quick meal before going to the cinema and Tiger Cafe delivered. The value is excellent, huge portions for very little money. We got 2 courses each for £24 total. Starters (spring rolls/summer rolls) were excellent. Mains were also good although a little greasy. The food and drinks came very quickly although we waited to order... More

We came here for a speedy dinner. It's cash only and quite basic inside but the menu has lots of options from traditional Vietnamese to Chinese. We had pho, sweet and sour prawns and summer spring rolls. All were very tasty.

Visited on a Monday evening. Got there at 8pm, only customers, oh dear, was something wrong? The waiter was a genuine elder man, happy and smiling. Nice welcome. Venue is a down a few steps, no pretensions, comfortable with Vietnamese pop music. Love it. We ordered salt and pepper squid to start. We could have stopped there, it was fresh... More

I visited Tiger Cafe for a late lunch today. I read the reviews about the lack of decor and slow service, but neither mattered to me frankly. It was all about the authentic taste and freshness of the ingredients that I was most concerned about. Also from my experience, the service was perfectly fine but I went during an extremely... More

Description
If you're seeking something out of the ordinary, Streatham High Road's Tiger Restaurant is a must. A unique proposition, even in a city as diverse as London, Tiger offers typical Vietnamese food in a sleek, modern setting and with a surprising jazz soundtrack. It's a bright, spacious spot with two levels - below the glass fronted ground floor and above a cosy mezzanine with a view to the diners beneath - both staffed by friendly, well turned out staff. Designer lighting and unfussy furnishings combined with traditional Asian artefacts for an eclectic, expensive feel which somewhat belies the affordability of Tiger's menu. The kitchen is in the hands of well practised master chefs who know Vietnamese cuisine like the back of their rather skilled hands, resulting in an impressive array of dishes from throughout the varied culinary regions of the country. Additionally, Tiger offers an excellent selection of wines, among them offerings direct from Vietnam, though BYO is acceptable too.
