For me this is a traditional pub rather than somewhere to eat. Always busy with a real good atmosphere irrespective of which side if the passage you visit. Good selection of beer and wine and not too silly on the prices either.

It’s fair to say the ship and shovel is either busy or really busy. That being said it’s pretty good with some decent beers and typical pub food on offer. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go there but if you are in...More

A typically noisy London style pub. Good range of beers, reasonable staff, don’t attempt to swing your Cat!

In all my sixty nine years I've never visited a pub on two sites, so solved the problem with a pint in each one. Both sides had features to pique the interest, and while they were by no means busy when we visited, there was...More

Really wanted to enjoy my visit but I left after a couple of sips of my beer. The vibe was just off on this occasion. Though really want to like this place and will visit again in the summer.

Can you resubmit the question into something without bad language as families view this site. Ship and Shovel is a quaint pub. Good selection of ale and hearty food . I always like going there.
