came for a family dinner on a cold night, make sure you dont sit on the right hand side of the restaurant as you will get a cold blast of air each time a takeaway driver comes. this happens continuously and really reduces the enjoyment...of being in the restaurant. The food is very good, especially the lamb chop starter, although the lamb chops were tiny, especially for the price. curries and sides were good, apart from the pumpkin curry which was very disappointing. Should really have retuned it as it was barely cooked, it came late so i think they forgot it. this is probably an example of my concern for this restaurant (and for others) which is they focus on takeaways and make those who pay more and pay a service charge in the restaurant feel more like a hassle. had to ask for cutlery, didnt have beers on tap, when wanted to take leftovers home, containers plonked on the table to fill yourself and no bag to carry on them. i do not expect this is a higher end indian/nepalese restaurant. overall the restaurant has has very successful takeaway business but this does seem to take away from the focus on the restaurant experienceMore

Yesterday we ordered dinner for 3 people..Chicken tikka masala was like a kheer(indian dessert)..They should not make fool of customers by serving such a pathetic food..Sorry to say and we are really surprised how can they have such a high rating. Be cautious next time...before eating food here..More

Went to Panas Gurkha Restaurant with my wife and two friends. Ambiance and service were both very good. The Waiter was friendly and helpful. We had drinks and Papadoms before ordering Starters and Mains. My wife had Onion Bhaji and I had the Kid Goat...Tawa Kebab , which was delicious. Indeed , it prevented me from later finishing the main courses. Not sure what our friends had , but their Plates were cleared. For Mains , I had a Nepalese Chicken dish. My Wife had Tandoori Salmon. We had Rice and shared a Tarka Dhal. Friends had Chicken dishes. My Nepalese Chicken was quite spicy , but nevertheless it was extremely tasty. Quality of Food was good and the portions were generous. Enjoyed another round of drinks and all in all we had a very pleasant evening. I will certainly return to Panas Gurkha Restaurant when nest in the area.More

My first time visit to Panas for a family meal and could not have been more impressed. Warmly welcome from the staff and from the owner, who chatted to us for a while. Service was absolutely impeccable - attentive but not hurried in any way....Food was very good. We particularly enjoyed the Chicken Momo and the Gunpowder Chips from the tarter menu. From the mains, the Malabar Fish Curry and 'Mums Curry' were both excellent. Considering what we ate and drank, Panas was excellent value for money by normal, let alone London, standards. Overall, a fabulous dining experience and highly recommended. Cant wait to return.More

We often order a takeaway from restaurant. Initially it was because of their good deeds in supporting the NHS during covid, but now we continue to order because the food is brilliant. Tonight’s dinner was delivered within 30 minutes of online order. I had the...Masu Farsi - a lamb and pumpkin dish. Ratio of lamb was greater than the pumpkin, and extremely tender. I loved it. Hubby was equally happy with his chicken Jalfrezi. Complimentary side salad, gunpowder fries (wow!) and a creamy dessert. 10/10 - will definitely be ordering again soon.More

We were recommended this restaurant as one of the best. Ordered from Uber eats. Our food arrived. Much to our horror and disgust upon dishing up we found a big piece of thick yellow plastic, it looked like it had broken off from something. It...was dangerous and my son could of choked on the plastic had we not seen the as it was deep down in the lamb rogan curry. We took pictures immediately and made contact with the restaurant who claimed they would investigate and the photos were emailed off immediately. We didn’t hear back from them and had to call again. Tired blame on something else offered refund for dish but ruined out whole meal. Who would want to go and eat at a place that serves thick broken plastic in their curry’s. Dangerous choking hazard stay away at all costs. Manager was not interested in where it had come from or how it got in the food in the first place.More

My wife and I visited last week. A nice little restaurant with a good range of tasty nepalese dishes. The staff, Rafi and Nadia, were welcoming and friendly and gave us useful information on the various plates. We will get back

First time at Panas with a group of friends for dinner. Restaurant is fairly small inside and quite basic. Given the cultural opportunities to decorate it with beautiful Nepalese decor it was very average in that respect, disappointing as it could look amazing inside with...a few extra touches here and there. Food was very nice. I ordered lamb rogan for main but it was very very spicy and not like lamb rogan but more like jalfrezi or something much hotter. I ordered mushroom fried rice and asked for peas in it. Rice arrived with 3 tiny bits of mushroom in and no peas so I sent it back. Waiter failed to tell me that my lamb rogan came with boiled rice on the same plate which I didn’t like. We all enjoyed our food otherwise. We were however charged for chutneys with our poppadoms despite having 6! Not sure how you can have a poppadom without chutney! Service charge was £16 but we didn’t pay it and left our own tip as we felt the service was poor. Waiter was miserable and quite rude. We waited for quite some time and had to ask to order quite a while after being seated. Nobody came to offer more drinks or check the food was ok etc. For the service I would give one star out of five as it was so bad. Waiter seemed so miserable that he really didn’t want to be there. Made us feel quite uncomfortable. His shirt was creased all over and it just left a very bad impression. We would visit again to give this place another try but if the service was just as bad again I don’t think I’d give it a third visit. Panas you need to speak to your staff about their service and I’d at least expect them to have a clean ironed shirt whilst serving food, it looks incredibly unhygienic and sloppy. In addition I don’t expect to have to look for the server to get their attention to get served and then be charged a £16 service charge on the bill!!! That’s just cheeky! If you want customers to pay a service charge at least provide a service that’s worth paying for. We were also overcharged on our bill for 3 lamb rogans instead of just one which was an overcharge of £25!!! Good job we noticed and got the bill corrected. Makes you wonder whether this was a mistake or not??? Although we did leave a generous tip it defintely wasn’t worth it for the service but we will give Panas another try in the hope that service is improved next time. Lots of advertising in the restaurant of Joanna Lumley with the Gurkhas, even tv screens! Cringey! 🙈 Let’s hope they can do better on our next visit and staff step up on their appearance as well as their customer service skills and manners.More

We were so disappointed with Panas Ghurka. The last time we went in 2020 the food and service were very good. However this time our group of 8 felt very rushed by the waiter, drinks and food were just plonked at the end of the...table for us to pass down, and the food was dry and unappetising. We won’t be returning even tho this is a local restaurant to usMore

Sorry, I don't remember if the main door is wide enough. Give them a call to ask as they were very accommodating.
