The chicken tamarind starter was nice. The two mains we had were pretty bog-standard, nothing especially good about them. The service was prompt and friendly.

Went in this restaurant, and I was just blanked by staff and they weren't even busy. Me and my missus stood there for 5-10min waiting to be served. Then eventually a moody waiter came, no hello and just pointed to the seats and then pissed off.

We visited this restaurant atvapprox 9.30 however you'd have thought that it was 5 minutes before closing time! The staff appeared to be genuinely frustrated that a custome had entered the place & we were hastily shown to our table. The waiter came back appeox 2 minutes after giving us menus to take the order. The whole experience was rushed,... More

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and it by far the best food and has the most friendly staff in the whole of London city. I am really fussy with Indian food and will not go to any other restaurants other than Sripur as nothing compares to it. Please try it, you won't be disappointed!

Excellent Indian restaurant at normal prices. Must have includes the Thali (meat or vegetarian) . Sometimes it's quiet as someone else has mentioned with little ambience but hey, the food is great. Traditional meals with no need, as you find elsewhere, for a bundle of chef recommends which are basically the same meal with different names. Good recommend for friends,... More

Absolutely loved the taste of the food served here be it veg and non veg. The chicken tandoori was absolutely fantastic. Loved the ambience too. Highly recommended place to visit when in London

One of the most unfriendly and unwelcoming places I have ever eaten. There were only 2 other tables in the rather ugly room, so they sat me bang in the middle and then, when one group of 3 very loud guests arrived, they put them right next to me. Food is virtually thrown down and I felt rushed, not having... More

I had the Sripur beef which is a chefs recommended dish with plain rice and a plain naan all waged down with a kingfisher beer. Exceptionally tasty food and it was a shame I did not manage to get back during my stay.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
