Two couples dined at Medlar in the first week of November. For each of us it was our second visit and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was full and buzzy but we were seated in "banque "type seating which gave a sense of privacy,...More

We had a business lunch at this restaurant, the foods are very good. And we also been given a complimentary dessert, which was really well received. Great service.

The service was efficient and proper but a bit cold. The food was excellent. Portions small. Not quite value for money. Overall excellent but short of outstanding. Easy to talk there as noise levels low.

They say: "At Medlar we aim to cook seasonal ingredients from the British Isles and Europe accurately and simply.". This is exactly what they do, to the letter. This is the protoptype of the anti-gimmick restaurant: everything that is put on the plate and everything...More

Medlar has been a firm favourite ever since it opened, and it continues to wow. Had an amazing anniversary dinner last night. Absolutely faultless. We'd both like to thank the team for making our evening so special. We'll be back soon.

I went here on Saturday for an anniversary meal. It was a lovely day and we sat outside, the service was excellent and the menu was great. £30 for two courses or £35 for three. The staff was very nice and attentive. One of the...More

I took my dogs there (terrier and spaniel). Rang first to make sure. I don't think they are keen on large dogs, but ok with small ones
