My fiance and I were in London for a few days and on our last night we decided to wander our neighborhood to find a pub and have some drinks. McGlynn's was only a two minute walk from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. Have nothing but good things to say. Was on a quiet street,... More

If you're looking for a true neighborhood pub to enjoy with the locals, look no further. No gastro pub or fake pub stuff - a good ole English/Irish pub. Terrific and friendly service in a classic environment. Liam and Pete will take great care of you behind the bar and you'll be hanging out with locals. Really fun spot and... More

My wife and I came in for a few pints before it was time to board our train. We had a great time. Everyone was very friendly. We had fish and chips to eat and a few different beers on draft, all very good and reasonably priced.

Most of the people here knew each other and I assume are regular locals. Excellent beer, good pub food, and cheery service. You can't ask much more.

My husband and I called into McGlynns for a few drinks while we were in London and were very pleasantly surprised by its lovely old fashioned feel, value for money and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were lovely, the music wasn't too loud and we felt at home. Loved it so much we had to have a second visit!

Lively atmosphere here. Didn't try the food as we came here for darts. Lots of macrobrews on tap here.

A nice bright & clean looking Irish pub .. Inside is very deceiving , so large , with plenty of seating .. The menu appears to cover most tastes , although I didn't eat myself .. Plenty of Olde items on display , magical .. Real ale is also available , mostly from The Truman's brewery ..

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
