Fantastic, brilliant, wonderful. Incredible venue with a really stunning view of iconic Tower Bridge from almost every table in the restaurant, which looked especially grand lit up at night. The menu is extensive but not too big, and is really exciting and varied. The food...was large portions and faultless. The prices are fair. It’s not a cheap restaurant, but you get what you pay for, and in this regard, is actually fair value. I would even say that the side dishes are on the cheap side. The service was absolutely fine, and there is no criticism here. This will definitely be added to my list of favourite special restaurants to visit. One observation although not a criticism as such, is about the ambience. This might be useful depending on what kind of occasion you are looking for. But bear in mind that, although fantastic, Smith’s was quite ‘buzzy’ and bustling. Not calm and sophisticated, but that can be a positive too! One teeny weeny observation - the check in as we arrived wasn’t great, and handing in/retrieving coats could be a little better. But honestly, the experience was brilliant, and it puts The River Cafe which I went to 2 weeks earlier in a corner.More

Arrived a little earlier than our booking time but was seated straight away with no issues. We were placed in the corner with a window seat overlooking Tower Bridge and the Shard. Appreciated being tucked away in the corner as there were lots of group...tables which appeared to be business/corporate guests out for the evening. We chose to come to Smith’s after positive experiences over the years so decided to celebrate our anniversary here. The service remains a 10/10 and food was delicious as always. Our waiter Mehmet was super friendly and welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Highly recommend.More

The food and wine here were really good, I had the daily special of baked halibut and it was just lovely. Not a major point but the menu on iPad things is something I really don’t like. Waiter service was wonderful, very friendly and kept...us topped up unasked throughout the evening.More

Visited on a Monday evening and took advantage of the 2/3 course meal deal. Excellent value and the tempura prawns are the best I’ve ever tasted. The staff are magnificent. Highly recommended

The restaurant had come highly recommend by a friend and we weren’t disappointed . The restaurant was modern & light and table settings were spaced out well. The staff greeted us warmly and showed us to our table . The menu was a feast for...the eyes as there were so many wonderful dishes to choose from . There were more than enough staff which was just as well as it was packed out. We were served quickly and when the food arrived it was beautifully display on lovely plates. The food was delicious . I have to comment on the rice as it was so light fluffy and tasty . Our waiter kept an eye to refill our drinks or any additional help we may need . Loved it as it was simply perfect . It’s well worth a visit .More

Travelled a distance to return to Smiths. It was lunchtime, super buzzy. Every element was absolutely outstanding. I had the skate wing and it was huge! This place never fails to deliver.

The food and atmosphere does not disappoint at Smith’s. There are so many gluten free options, including bread! Our server Raj was super knowledgeable about food allergies and intolerances. The monkfish was an absolute highlight as was the roasted shellfish.

Had a lovely evening celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary. Very friendly staff from the moment you walk in - had a lovely drink in the bar before our meal - the young guy who served our drinks was lovely and very attentive. We chose to...have the set menu which is great value - our waiter - didn't get his name but he was from Romania - again very friendly and attentive. We had starters and mains and were not able to manage a dessert as well as we were too full! However, the staff then bought out complimentary limoncello's and a meringue and ice cream dessert on a happy anniversary plate - what a lovely gesture and much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this restaurant - excellent food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.More

We visited this restaurant Feb 2023. Having visited several times previous our family are no novices to the warm welcome you receive and the overall quality of the service and cuisine offered. The reason for the review is that having wanting to praise this establishment...previously, we have simply not got round to it until now. On entry you are warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and accompanied to your table where upon you are given a generous amount of time to browse the drinks & food menu's. The views looking out of the restaurant towards the river Thames, Tower Bridge & the Shard all add to the fantastic atmosphere sometimes added to by a pianist gently playing at a beautiful grand piano. We had booked for the time period that covers the set menu and chose accordingly. Drinks & food arrived promptly with acceptable intermisions between the three courses. During previous visits to Smiths we have tried most items on the set menu and can confidently say you will not be disappointed by any of your choices. All food is cooked to perfection. Price wise this establishment is fair for the food and dining experience you get. No complaints here and we will no doubt be back in the near future.More

What a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the view topped everything off to make for an excellent evening. We enjoyed the scampi and fish soup to start. Both of which were exceptional. For mains we had crusted halibut and lemon...sole with scallops. Both dishes beautifully cooked and sides that accompanied them were equally delicious. We shared a pudding- crème brûlée with Cointreau, perfect! Washed down with a lovely Sancerre and finished with coffee and brandy. We’ll be back!More

Located a bit far away from the tube station, about 20 minutes walk and is located by the Thames River, looking to the Tower Bridge from distance. We ordered an octopus and tempura shrimp as starter, fish and chips and haddock. The sliced octopus is...soft, marinated with olive oil, and the portion is quite big. The tempura shrimp is lightly battered, not wearing a thick layer of flour, and carried a refreshing sweet sauce. The fish and chips is big in portion, not like those you find in normal bar restaurant. It is in a rectangular shape and thick like a steak. The quality of the fish is very good and fresh. The thickness of batter is just right. The chips is also extra-ordinary. The haddock is again fresh with good sauce. The restaurant is inside a new built residential building, so the floor area is much bigger than a restaurant situated in some older buildings. Most of the tables have a view of the Tower Bridge, facing south west. One last point I must point out is that the service of the waiters is excellent.More
