Who knew that there were so many different fried fish types? This place has them all! A great little restaurant with all of the charm (and recipes) for success! Indoor and outdoor seating is a plus…. 5 stars!

WE walked past this restaurant by chance and are so glad we found it! Tiny place although with seating outside, great range of dishes and wonderfully fresh fish. We both had lemon sole which was a first for me in terms of fish and chips,...and it was delicious. Great chips too, decent glass of wine and all very reasonably priced for this quality of food in central London. WE will be returning. And it felt so nice being somewhere so close to Covent Garden but away from the crowds. Very glad this place survived the last 2 years.More

Very fresh and crispy fish. Nice chips and even the normal size servings are big. We opted for seating inside and the service was fast and friendly.

Maybe previously it was a good place. But now it provides tasteless Haddock and Chips. Haddock was definetly out of the deep freeze even though it says Daily Fresh Fish at the entrance. I dont know how they manager but even the chips were tasteless....19 Pounds wth a Diet Çoke. Never again.More

Covid hit so I ended up a wingman down and in London on my own.. where am I going to eat? To be honest I didn’t need an excuse to pop back here. I went for chips and gravy and what a good shout that...was! The chips are proper cut , the staff are just fabulous so welcoming and gravy was top notch. Served me well for a night alone in London and only cost me a fiver , what’s not to love!More

Great food, great service, reasonable prices for a central London location. You should try their scallops, simply delicious!

Took my family for a mid afternoon fish and chips. The fish was under cooked and tasteless- so bad that it necessitated a cornucopia of condiments to make it bearable. Having previously enjoyed exceptionally tasty fish, this was a profound disappointment. The batter was soggy...and quickly separated from the fish - a bad sign. Both Cod and Haddock were equally bland to the palate. At circa 18 pounds a head ( including mushy peas and curry sauce) it was poor value. When you eat Fish and Chips you do not expect the star of the show to be the condimentsMore

Having had good experiences in the past at Rock and Sole Plaice, we were left feeling pretty disappointed and a bit concerned that our cod was undercooked (to the point that we had to re-cook more in the oven at home). The batter looked lovely...and golden but the inside was borderline raw and it’s put us off coming back (we’re local and have ordered from here a number of times). We did notice potentially new staff members and perhaps this is affecting the quality of the fish being cooked. The owner has always been really friendly and welcoming and we’re hoping it was a one off. The restaurant should review the quality of food being served for takeaway, I’m not sure if the same can be said for dining in meals and service.More
