Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Such a joy to visit the Raven whether for watching football or rugby or just to meet up socially. The staff are fantastic and super accommodating. No need to faff about w the mobile app for ordering during the end of Covid times. The staff are so attentive and never get an order wrong. The food is reasonably priced (great pizzas) and the menu pitched just right for this particular venue. Thank you David and entire team for always being so efficient, friendly and for making us feel welcome!

The Raven is an outstanding local pub, with excellent beers - especially Timothy Taylor's and Guinness - friendly service from Dave and his team. The Sunday lunch is excellent value at under a tenner, though with food prices galloping ahead, that price point is unlikely to last long, for obvious reasons. I only wish this was MY local!!

The Raven is easily the best pub in the area. It's traditional and has not been corporatised so has a character and atmosphere of its own. With a variety of areas to sit in, it's a little like having several pubs under one roof. The staff are superb, friendly and knowledgeable so the business runs smoothly under excellent managership. Food provision has changed again recently and is very good... Can reccomend any of the oven baked pizzas. Its great for watching sport, great for watching bands, great for just catching up with friends or to go and eat. It really does have it all. Why aren't I there now?

Was very disappointed, the beef roast was fatty and rubbish. The toughest meat I have ever tried to eat. Will never come back to this pub as this first lunch was awful. Very upsetting for us as well. Poor customer service and food tasted reheated. Food wasn't warm when it was served. Do not go here!

I was looking forward to our Sunday roasts today. The last time I visited The Raven for Sunday roast was pre-covid and I remember my roast lamb, still hot and sliced infront of me, was simply cooked to perfection. It was full of flavour and the quality of the meat itself was superb.
Fast forward to today. I chose roast beef and my partner chose roast chicken (no lamb on the menu). The various roasted meat weren't on display as was previously the case but served to our table. The dishes were fairly small. What's worse the potatoes tasted like supermarket bought frozen potatoes. Vegetables consisted of a few limp, overcooked carrots, beans and couple of cauliflower florets. My roast beef was tasteless, as was the chicken. In fact I'd hazard a guess the entire meal was pre-cooked/bought from a packet previously and simply warmed up in microwave. It was a real disappointment how standards had dropped so much.
I understand that hospitality industry is struggling and may be cutting corners but really to my mind, to serve food this sub-standard merely means lost future business which is a shame.

We dropped in yesterday for the first time in a long while due to the corona hiatus and the staff member who met us was literally clapping to see customers coming back in again. The feeling was mutual I assure you.
Always a lovely pub, run very well with hard working, friendly staff; nothing had changed except for the seating arrangements. The staff know their beers and advise well according to your tastes.
The food had certainly improved too. After the Thai kitchen left I hankered for a good Thai curry but now the burgers etc have more to them and I'm glad to work my way through the menu.
I'm hoping it won't be busy tomorrow evening so I can pop in with the wife and son but if they are busy, fair play to them they deserve to be.

We booked for Sunday 5th March 2023 and we’re not disappointed. The new kitchen had started up so it was always going to be a hectic day for the staff. They were very friendly, accommodating and willing to right any issues that arose not that any major ones did. The food was enjoyable, the atmosphere fun and as I said the staff were amazing. My only comment would be the potion size in comparison to the carvery for more money but it was delicious never the less. Thank you for helping my Mum enjoy her birthday, look forward to seeing you again

The Raven is a traditional pub which has not had the gastro treatment. An institution for Fathers whose babies were born in the neighbouring Queen Charlotte's Hospital until it moved in 2001, they still have books signed by terrified new dads as they speed drank a quick (4) pints.
Well worth a visit without the necessity of experiencing the beautiful birth of little Fintan, The Raven also does great pub food.
The Steak and Ale pies are made from real sirloin (the ends of the Sunday Roast) and are really very good. I just had one.
They also do a great pizza as well as a mean Chilli (best with chips, ask them for a KC special).
The beer is also well served. One of the best pubs in West London, if not the country.

Varied menu and plenty of choice.
Food very good, hot, fresh and tasty.
Good range of beer and wines, and helpful, friendly bar staff…..
The huge portion of Chilli Nachos are absolutely delicious, and the burgers are the best we’ve ever had.
Lovely pub.

Came in today for Sunday roast and was less than satisfied to say the least. We’ve been in prior to the reopening and it was one of our favourite spots. Today the service was just not up to scratch which is disappointing because we would always normally come away raving about how good the roast is. A couple of gents couldn’t be more helpful in topping up our drinks. But overall disappointed with the quality of food and service with our food server.

This is a smashing local pub, made so by everyone who works there being so helpful, friendly and relaxed. Great wine list and pizza (they have a much more varied menu but I’ve only sampled the pizza so far). Watched the footie here a few times and they’ve an ideal set up with multiple screens. Overall, a brilliant vibe and setting for relaxed drinks with friends. Recommended.

Very nice place to visit lovely looking just a shame about the price and the wait for a coffee.
It’s the most I’ve ever paid for a Camden Hells at £7.25 a pint. Haven’t even paid that in central London. Then the coffee seemed to be forgotten about and had to pay another £7.25 for another drink before the coffee was served.
Have to say no matter how nice the place may be. I will not be visiting again.
It’s a place you should visit just to see but not sure worth going back.

This pub really does hit the spot!
From the friendly staff to the brilliant atmosphere.
Food is very fairly priced and always of a high standard.
David, Ian and all the guys who work there really do go out of their way to make sure you have a lovely time.
If you haven’t been, you really must pop in. You won’t be disappointed!!

I was sitting in the beer garden. A waiter came very quickly, saw me but didn't greet me and cleared a few glasses from the other tables. After waiting 15 minutes, I went inside, got myself a menu and waved to the waiters. But they didn't seem to care, and after another 15 minutes of waiting I left. Even if it was only self-service, they could have said something. In any case, I had the feeling that strangers are not welcome at the Raven.

We found the Raven to be a nice surprise while we were staying nearby. Cozy: it has two fireplaces and a resident cat and dog. We did find the price of a pint by one rather high, but then we were lucky enough to arrive on a Tuesday evening: they have a special for £35, two pizzas, a side, and a bottle of house wine. The food was particularly good, served to us by the chef himself.
Previous reviews mention different food options as well as Thai, but in its current state it is a pizza pub with kind service and comfortable seating.
