Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was looking forward to our Sunday roasts today. The last time I visited The Raven for Sunday roast was pre-covid and I remember my roast lamb, still hot and sliced infront of me, was simply cooked to perfection. It was full of flavour and...the quality of the meat itself was superb. Fast forward to today. I chose roast beef and my partner chose roast chicken (no lamb on the menu). The various roasted meat weren't on display as was previously the case but served to our table. The dishes were fairly small. What's worse the potatoes tasted like supermarket bought frozen potatoes. Vegetables consisted of a few limp, overcooked carrots, beans and couple of cauliflower florets. My roast beef was tasteless, as was the chicken. In fact I'd hazard a guess the entire meal was pre-cooked/bought from a packet previously and simply warmed up in microwave. It was a real disappointment how standards had dropped so much. I understand that hospitality industry is struggling and may be cutting corners but really to my mind, to serve food this sub-standard merely means lost future business which is a shame.More

Lovely pub. Great staff and a cosy feel. Been in plenty of times just for drinks and footie but ate for the first time today. Went for the pizzas - diavola and saliccia. Both were really tasty and fresh. Would highly recommend. I look forward...to eating here again.More

Very nice place to visit lovely looking just a shame about the price and the wait for a coffee. It’s the most I’ve ever paid for a Camden Hells at £7.25 a pint. Haven’t even paid that in central London. Then the coffee seemed to...be forgotten about and had to pay another £7.25 for another drink before the coffee was served. Have to say no matter how nice the place may be. I will not be visiting again. It’s a place you should visit just to see but not sure worth going back.More

We booked for Sunday 5th March 2023 and we’re not disappointed. The new kitchen had started up so it was always going to be a hectic day for the staff. They were very friendly, accommodating and willing to right any issues that arose not that...any major ones did. The food was enjoyable, the atmosphere fun and as I said the staff were amazing. My only comment would be the potion size in comparison to the carvery for more money but it was delicious never the less. Thank you for helping my Mum enjoy her birthday, look forward to seeing you againMore

What an excellent Sunday roast and Bistrot. The food was excellent, the staff were really friendly and it is wheelchair accessible too. A little gem in London.

The Raven is an outstanding local pub, with excellent beers - especially Timothy Taylor's and Guinness - friendly service from Dave and his team. The Sunday lunch is excellent value at under a tenner, though with food prices galloping ahead, that price point is unlikely...to last long, for obvious reasons. I only wish this was MY local!!More

Varied menu and plenty of choice. Food very good, hot, fresh and tasty. Good range of beer and wines, and helpful, friendly bar staff….. The huge portion of Chilli Nachos are absolutely delicious, and the burgers are the best we’ve ever had. Lovely pub.

Great service in a friendly local boozer. Superb pint of Taylor’s Landlord and the daily special of lamb shank was the best I’ve had. You can see why this pub is busy. A real treat.

A very handy pub just by the tube station so a great meeting place. It really is a nice place, very clean and well laid out with friendly staff making a relaxed atmosphere. Good range of drinks with choice of nice ales, my only gripe...was everything seemed expensive, but didn’t begrudge as I enjoyed our visit.More

The Raven is easily the best pub in the area. It's traditional and has not been corporatised so has a character and atmosphere of its own. With a variety of areas to sit in, it's a little like having several pubs under one roof. The...staff are superb, friendly and knowledgeable so the business runs smoothly under excellent managership. Food provision has changed again recently and is very good... Can reccomend any of the oven baked pizzas. Its great for watching sport, great for watching bands, great for just catching up with friends or to go and eat. It really does have it all. Why aren't I there now?More

The Raven is a traditional pub which has not had the gastro treatment. An institution for Fathers whose babies were born in the neighbouring Queen Charlotte's Hospital until it moved in 2001, they still have books signed by terrified new dads as they speed drank...a quick (4) pints. Well worth a visit without the necessity of experiencing the beautiful birth of little Fintan, The Raven also does great pub food. The Steak and Ale pies are made from real sirloin (the ends of the Sunday Roast) and are really very good. I just had one. They also do a great pizza as well as a mean Chilli (best with chips, ask them for a KC special). The beer is also well served. One of the best pubs in West London, if not the country.More

Easily the best pub in the area and easily the best service going. Properly managed, perfectly kept beer. Great atmosphere. Also one of the few pubs these days that actually cares about sports fans - most games shown, most sports too. Brilliant place.
