Diyarbakir is one of the most notable spots on the Green Lanes road in North London that is home to several Turkish restaurants. I had the privilege of recently going for the first time over the festive period, and was impressed by the fantastic quality of the food as well as the efficient and friendly service by the staff.
The price is reasonable given the location and the amount of food provided, though it is not insubstantial either. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend fans of Turkish cuisine to pay a visit to Diyarbakir Restaurant.

I can say with full confidence that eating in such an exemplary setting with commendable standards in cuisine, was nothing short of wonderful! The staff are so respectful and courteous, particularly the waiter, Kechan (I hope I've spelt that correctly). Overall, it's a lovely experience to have with the family so highly recommended!

Excelllent service, they are attentive and fast with serving food without feeling rushed. The food is of good quality and the decor is beautiful. Highlights were the kalamar which were crispy and the squid was juicy. The lamb chops were meaty, juicy with the scent of charcoal. Would recommend a visit to this restaurant.

I went to eat here with my sister for the first time yesterday. It seemed ok at first as we didn't have to wait long to place our order and the food arrived promptly; the food was just standard, nothing good like other restaurants we've been to.
When we finished our meal, we just sat there and waited for ages for our plates to be cleared, we were totally ignored which bemused us.
Even when I asked for a takeaway container (it was like having to 'catch' a waiter's attention before he scurried off), it didn't prompt him to clear our table (other waiters were constantly walking past and serving or clearing the adjoining tables, but not ours)!
We just sat there, other tables were cleared straight away and served a complimentary rice pudding. Eventually we caught someone's attention and asked for the bill...a miserable, gormless older man arrived to take the payment straight away, he also wasn't interested that the table hadn't been cleared...he took the payment and walked away!
I told my sister not to leave yet as we were intrigued if anyone would acknowledge us.
I suppose the waiter finally came to clear the table as we had paid at this point.
He cleared the table and walked away, not offering us the rice pudding.
I called him over again and stated that I wanted the rice pudding like all the other tables...he just stared at me blankly and crossly stated 'you want rice pudding'?
We didn't actually want the damn rice pudding, but the point was why weren't we offered it like everyone else on every other table was?
He walked off and we couldn't stand it there another moment and left.
Upon hindsight, we should have removed the service charge.
We clearly didn't meet their 'criteria' of customer at this draconian establishment. Avoid at all costs!

If I could give Zero stars I would. Avoid. I do not often leave feedback but felt obliged to share how awful our experience was. I ordered from uber eats. Amongst other courses, we ordered the halloumi and falafel dish for £14 – what we received was two measly pieces of halloumi, no falafel in a polystyrene box. A complete rip off. We also ordered the lamb shish – the lamb was overcooked and extremely chewy. When we called the restaurant they fobbed us off and denied our order despite their telephone number on the bag. We were told the head chef would call us back. It was a complete waste of money (in total £42.50 plus £4.25 service charge!) for some substandard food and truly awful customer service. I would definitely go elsewhere next time.

“BEST Turkish restaurant in London!”
I am rarely that positive in a review but this place deserved it all. Food is excellent, staff kind and on point, prices are very honest. All meats are tasty and clearly fresh and so are the veg. Just go!

Came on a hunt for a good Turkish meal on this road and came across this unassuming place which wasn't pretentious like the dolled-up places nearby. The stews in the window looked so good and opted for a half/half - lamb with potato and lamb with aubergine. Came with a good mound of pilav and beautifully dressed salad; pickles and warm bread. It was so delicious, that I wanted to replicate the meal when I got home (not half as good). Shall be back. Price was only £11.50 for a large portion!

A party of three we decided to try this place and sample the food...The selections we were recommended were lovely and tasty. We were almost full after the free sides we consumed. Great waiter serve, great food and we loved tasting the new types of foods...We will back next time we are passing.. Thank You

Excellent customer service. Been here many times at all hours, from afternoon to 1am on a weekday - their food is always excellent and staff always very friendly. Their main meals are very filling with good prices, better than most turkish restaurants in haringey.

This was my first time here and i was excited to try Turkish food after a long time but the whole experience was disappointing. The food was rushed and arrived cold. The mezzes were not fresh. Service was appalling although the restaurant was almost empty. Waiter was dismissive, turned his head away everytime we needed something. Lahmacun was terrible, didn’t taste of anything. They never checked if we were happy with our food. Worst restaurant experience I have ever head. Wouldn’t recommend it. Never again.

Arrived at 6.50 pm and ordered our meal. They served us salad bread and dips and the fries my partner ordered at about 7pm. The bread was old and reheated obviously what was left by another table.
The resturant is empty only two seated tables.
At 7.35 pm the waitress reminds the chef to cook our food!! Imagine that we have been seated for 40 minutes and he handnt even started preparing our food in a empty resturant.
So at 7.50pm we are served the remainder of our meal. We had lost all interest in eating by this time. We tried our best to carry on.
Add to this that the food was not seasoned and the meat quality was very poor.
And to add insult to injury they did not reduce the cost by even 1 %
I use to like this place but it has gone down hill big time in the last few months.
I won't be going back despite being a customer for over 10 years. We took the food home what we could not eat and fed the cat.

We were greeted by the lovely staff of Diyarbakir Restaurant and they attended to our needs to efficiently. The drinks and starters came very quickly and they were so delicious, followed by the mains which tasted amazing!
And after we had some tea and dessert offered to us by the waiters.
I loved the atmosphere and the vibe in the restaurant, I would definitely come back again. I would like to thank the tall waiter who was serving us in the back side of the restaurant.

This little gem has polite friendly service great food choice and the chicken shish so soft a baby could eat it. The cous cous was so well seasoned over stuffed myself but perfect to the last scape on the plate. Would recommend this place for a quick midweek meal.

Very disappointing Adana kebap. Never eaten that dry Adana in my life. We expected better food in Turkish district. It wasn't worth coming from 2.5 hours away!! Rice was dry, bread tasted reheated.
